Los Hermanos Mexican Taquería reviews
80My friend took me here for dinner last night. I usually dont love Mexican but this was absolutely delicious. I will be back. My mouth is watering as write this. What a superb restaurant.
I feel sad about having to leave such a terrible review for this place as my partner and I used to absolutely love coming here due to the great food and ambiance. Unfortunately the last two times we have been, we have been greeted by the same horrible waitress who is so unbelievably rude and has no customer service skills. I’m very surprised that such a popular place would employ such a horrible person to organise tables and bookings. I’m sad to say that we won’t be coming back here after the experience we had with her on Saturday night.
Gets quite busy. Tacos were nice however after trying multiple different tacos, they all start to taste the same. Would be nice if they had some hard shell tacos too and different flavours. As most of tacos were soft shell. Some dishes were delicious though. Good for groups.
First mexican restaurant in Melbourne that I enjoyed. I’ve been struggling to find any good ones living here for a year. This one reminded me of home. Not only are the staff friendly, but the food is so flavorful. They have a beautiful selection of food. The drink are amazing. This place is so vibrant! This place was definitely worth the drive.
These are the best tacos I’ve found in Melbourne. Hell, in Australia. They’re reasonably priced, in a fun room, with great service, and they’re damn delicious. Go here. You’re welcome.
A great place with a really good atmosphere. The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly.
I definitely recommend a visit here
One of the best taco places I've been to in Australia, compared to the states it really makes you question why more decent central/south American placed don't up here. It's been busy each time I've been here, good for seating large groups, good atmosphere, diverse menu and tons of different drinks.
Try the smoked mushroom tacos, they'll make you question if you really need meat in a taco!
The food is great but it took 20 minutes just to get a menu and an hour to get our food after we ordered. It was just a few mistakes that could have been corrected with a free drink or gesture of some kind. Instead the experience was so negative we will likely never go back to this restaurant, which is disappointing since the food is pretty good.
I had been wanting to try Los Hermanos for a few months after I'd noticed its moody exterior as I drove along Victoria St at night. I wasn't disappointed, I'm a veggie and the options were plentiful. I opted for the Potato & Poblano Flautas and the De Ejotes taco. I can't fault the food or the service and I look forward to going back to try some of the other items on the menu.
Madre mia - this is some place. A divine selection of smallish tacos and other Mexican fare - note: the esquites, a traditional Mexican street corn salad, is off the hook. Excellent vibes and friendly attentive staff. Oh and damn they know how to make a margarita.
Overpriced tasteless tacos. Guzman y Gomez makes better tacos for a fraction of the price. Staff is careless and the layout of the restaurant is uncomfortable.
Really good tacos and always a great vibe. There is sometimes a waiting list but there a pub across the road.
My girlfriend and I have been waiting to come here for a while as we've heard great things, so decided to check it out for my partner's birthday.
When we arrived tonight there was a themed "day of the dead" party. We were told we had to pay $30 for entry but that that would include a set menu and one basic drink. We decided to go ahead and give it a try as we were promised we wouldn't leave hungry.
Cue overcrowded chaos.
This was "set menu" in the loosest of terms. The staff walked around with a large tray of different flavours of tacos and you just had to take one of whatever was left by the time it reached you. We were told we would have 5 things to eat but we're only given 3 and then told we would have to order and pay for anything extra that we wanted.
Cut to us leaving hungry and not at all satisfied, I can confidently say that neither of us got the chance to eat even one item that we'd have actually ordered or chosen. We'd have much rather to have had the option to pay an additional $10 for a margarita and 4 tacos each that we'd have actually enjoyed. Extremely disapponting end, and dismal experience for a birthday dinner. Truly feel as though we just wasted $60 and 90 minutes of our time.
Killer tacos, especially the mushroom one! Really friendly staff with great knowledge of the huge range of tequila behind the bar. Try the Ocho Anejo. It's so smoov
I am glad, I went to Los Hermanos Mexican Taqueria last night with my partner. We really loved the place, food, ambience and everything else. Great hospitality and customer service. There were limited options when we went the place but what ever we ordered was awesome. Especially the Smoked Mushrooms Taco.
I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.
This place is HYPE
good food, bit to small.but atmosphere is in top level.small place, good crowed.suggest make a booking before you arrive, we have to wait 30 minutes ion Thursday night.
Best tacos in Melbourne with some of the finest hot sauces, combined with excellent choice of drinks. The environment is awesome, and people working there are the friendliest. If you are in Melbourne and craving some Spicy Mexican food, this is the place to be. I am lover of Mexican food, and have tried more than 10 Mexican restaurants around Melbourne, and this place get the AWARD!
Pricey but good food and margaritas. Like every Mexican place in Melbourne, they really overdo it on what should just be simple, inexpensive food but it's very good. The fish taco is fantastic
Terrible seatings, the heating is insufficient and the worst part is terrible service. The waitress keeps dropping the food and they are not accommodating.
Never written a negative review before but this place really frustrates me. Wasted an hour of my time driving here because I wanted some decent Mexican food (which is basically non existent outside of the CBD and inner suburbs), to be told that at 8: 45 on a Saturday night they are ‘not doing takeaway orders’. Would have been great if they’d mentioned this on their website. Called back later (twice) as advised to ‘wait until 9: 30’, only for no one to answer the phone.
