Los Hermanos Mexican Taquería

The best place to get mouth watering Mexican food on the north side of the river hands down. Their burritos are actually filled with the variety of fresh and aromatic ingredients as an opposite to an unfortunate classic Australian interpretation of Mexican food with stale bits of unidentifiable meat and a pound of overcooked rice and watery lettuce.
The entrees are also amazing, my favourites are the grilled corn and the cactus salad. ️‍
I crave their food the moment I finish my meal, thank you so much for putting so much love into what you do.

The food and margaritas were amazing. We tried tacos, grilled corn, guacamole - all delicious. Service was good. We sat in the back area, which was a covered outdoor area. Nice atmosphere.

Super delicious and fast service, awesome decor. Prices are also very good and outside seating with heating too. Must recommend!

Great food and great atmosphere. Service was good but occasionally it was a struggle to get the waitress' attention because it was quite busy, but that is to be expected from time to time no matter where you go. Thanks for a great night. My son loved having his birthday dinner here and can't wait to come again.

Absolutely buzzing on a Friday night. It was quite loud inside just from everyone chatting and having a good time. There's an area at the back and at the front to have a few bevies if you don't mind the cold (in winter obviously). There's a smaller area to dine at the front too. The cocktails are high quality and reasonably priced. The food is great too to snack on. Overall a fantastic Mexican spot for cocktails with helpful staff. Would go again.

Superb Mexican food in an atmosphere that feels more like a house party than a sit down restaurant.

Love fish taco here. Delicious food, fair service but could have been better. Busy restaurant and you should call ahead if there is availability even though sometimes they'll tell you that you can just walk in. Definitely coming back again and been there few times already.

Maybe they forgot it ALL
Called up the place 20 minutes in advance to check if they were open and wasn’t told the place was busy and needed reservation. I thought “maybe they forgot”. When we reached, we were asked to wait 30 minutes for next table, while I could still see an empty table. Waited 40 minutes before checking with the waiter again, all this time that table was empty. Waiter asked us to wait some more, so we stood near entrance. Two young girls came after us, asked if we had put down our name on waiting list and proceeded to put their name down. Same waiter directly took them inside to another available table. “Maybe he forgot”. Soon he realized we were waiting as well and we were given a table next to the earlier girls. Next challenge was getting the water, the next was to get the napkins. The order we placed was shown around at each table asking everyone if the order was for them before the food landed on our table. The chips were ok, fish tacos great but both chicken and veg tacos were runny with so much sour cream on veg tacos that we couldn’t taste anything else, “maybe they forgot to prepare it better”. The watermelon margarita was missing watermelon and Mojito was overloaded with mint. “maybe they forgot to prepare it better”. The evening was ruined, we wanted to order more but decided to leave. Asked for the bill and another shock. Price for everything on the bill was different to what was on the menu+ they had added beer in the bill, which we didn’t order at all, “maybe they forgot to tell us about revised price or forgot to update their menu”. I realized the error in the bill later, but it was too late. We so wished this place to turn out to be great, we had heard good reviews. I just hope we were the once a lifetime unfortunate customers and the food and servers are better at other times.

Salsa Verde is great, the vegetarian options are disappointing and Mexican should be a slam dunk for vegetarians, also burrito is filled with white rice - If Los Hermanos read this, try "Trippy Taco" to see what good vegetarian options are for mex food, a small change could make huge difference

Delicious food, the fish taco is a must! There are also a large number of vegetarian options to choose from which were great.

The service is a little underwhelming. When booking online I selected the indoor option, however we were given an outdoor table. When I questioned it we were advised they would try their best however it is not guaranteed. A little confusing but should be fine if you are OK with sitting out the front.

Do NOT trust a booking with Los Hermanos, particularly if you’re booking through Open Table.

It was my birthday yesterday. I made a booking through Open Table (the only booking service on the Los Hermanos site) several days before. They’re usually open on Mondays but this was a public holiday so I wanted to make sure. So I called to reconfirm numbers the day before but no one answered so I left a message. Open table even took $50 at the time of booking. Ya know, to keep people accountable for their booking. Clearly the restaurant doesn’t feel they owe their patrons the same accountability.

My birthday dinner was a flop. We had to find a random Thai restaurant that doesn’t usually do dining in. So disappointing.

The only saving grace for this place is their amazing (though incredibly overpriced) food. But honestly, the service has always been pretty shocking.

Book at your own risk.

The food was very nice. Even though it was busy the food arrived on time. Service was fine. Wouldn't recommend the lamb taco though.

Have decided hanging a noose off their neighbours signage is an appropriate thing an adult should do over a parking dispute. I wish I was joking.

My MOST FAVOURITE restaurant to dine in - the food, the ambiance, the drinks and the staff - amazing and very friendly! We have been recommending this place to all our friends and family. My favourite things to order: Tacos (all of them are delicious) and the cactus salad! (Yum) and also not forgetting the herradura tequila with chaser (my most favourite). Coming back soon for more!

This is a lively little Mexican place with a great vibe along with indoor, outdoor and courtyard seating options. Staff are serviceable and nice. Menu covers all the typical Mexican fare with great GF and vegetarian options. The tacos are good as well as their good list of sides although just lacking that pop to be amazing. Good drinks list covering cocktails, wine and beer.

Best Mexican in Melbourne hands down. Fish tacos are the best I’ve ever had including traveling around Mexico. Great selection of tequilas in a casual atmosphere. Great for dates or a catch up with friends. Highly recommend!

Definitely worth a visit

Highly recommend - awesome variety of tacos, beef and zucchini the highlight. Food well presented and very reasonable priced, including $8 coronas. Win win.

This place is so good! Tacos are delicious; good variety of meat and meat free dishes (the veg options are better ;) ), well made cocktails and assortment of Mexican/Australian beers. It gets quite busy, so you can expect a wait, it's worth it though. Staff are really nice and they have shuffled in a fantastic vibe. Go as soon as you can!
