Lona reviews
73 Ambiance was great.
The waitress was friendly and informative. I guess most Irish people come here often.
But anyway had a cup of coffee here and it wasn't bad.
Like the feel of this place though as it's lively and chill.
Great sunshine in the evenings out front, friendly staff and a fantastic happy hour (or mates rates they call it) from 12 to 7pm.
Lovely experience, thanks to Andy the nice waitress who made sure we had a good evening considering the social distancing rules. And really good pizza!
Not a customer but living in an apartment next door and the drunken madness after 11 is unbearable you need to set a noise level or stop serving people who have had too much
Cute little bar with inspirational quotes. They having a garden upstairs. Food was a bit expensive so we only got a drink and chops/wedges but nice place. Could be a bit cleaner and better maintained in the outdoor bar area
Decided to go into this Cafe/pub as it was happy hour from 3 p.m. Till 6pm. Very quiet however plenty of tables and chairs around if there was a large group plus they have a garden at the back. Ordered chicken Caesar however was fairly small compared to others but was very tasty
Great Tapas food. Perfect happy hours.
Outside seating is great on a nice day.

Love Lona, probably one of the Best courtyards in stkilda, great crowd if your in the mood get going a little
Great bar in a great location. Lona is the most upbeat and lively of the bars in the strip. Generally drawing in the rowdy backpacker crowd from xbase, you'll always find some new people to hang out with and enjoy what St Kilda has to offer
Love this place, the service and the food. Half price on Wednesday on their food menu and some days live music too.
Have been here a couple times. Both times service has been friendly and fast! Highly recommend for group bookings as we were taken care of really well. No deposit required. Choice of a la carte or chefs menu. Drinks can be ordered at the bar and split bills done with ease. Plus location location location! Will be back!
Prepare to have a stroke with the amount of sodium chloride in this food (salt). The chef must be a chain smoker to not notice how much salt is in the food here! We all got the tapas $35 feed me option.
Amazing food in a relaxed and nice atmosphere. I ordered the delicious vegan bowl with prawns and can highly recommend that.
The only downside is that it gets quite loud at later times due to the live music or people talking outside in the beer garden but that doesn’t kill the vibe.
What's the point of having an online booking system if you don't use it. Wasn't very empathetic to the situation. Lift ya game folks.
Always busy. Couple of vegan options. Cheap drinks all day everyday if you join online (quick, no spamming, worth it). Inside, outside and out the back seating. Pet friendly outside
Cozy atmosphere, some days with live music. Delicious food & great food specials (especially Wednesday half price of food bill).
Patatas bravas are very good. The place was busy on a sat night and the vibe was really nice. There was even live music. However, it was impossible to hear your own thoughts from how loud the music was. Maybe this is an issue to be looked into.
Great prices, fantastic atmosphere, live music makes me happy and they have live music. Beer garden is great too
Food: Average
Location: Perfect
Ambience: Good
Customer service: So-so. The waitress who was serving us, I feel that she assumed that we were there for bottomless brunch but we'd rather have individual drinks.
She brought the utensils out on our table and when I said I'm not having brunch. I haven't finished my sentence (yet) then she gave us a bit of an attitude and goes: so you not going to eat?
Then I continued on saying we are going to have the feed me tapas. Then she changed to friendly attitude again.
