Had a birthday celebration in their beer garden. The food was fantastic and so was the service. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Would highly recommend this place.

A very vibrant bar with a great selection of cocktails and food. Live music on all the time, staff are super friendly and the back garden area is stunning.

I’ve been to Lona a few times over the years and I honestly think it’s going from strength to strength! They seem to always keep up to date with the latest trends - their version of a boozy brunch: “Drunch” is really good value. Cocktails, food and vibes all 5

Came here on a date and saw Bill Golding playing 2 amazing sets of music. The staff were friendly and kind. The food was yummy.

Came here because the website said members get happy hour prices all the time but they told us they weren't doing happy hour prices while we were there. The bartender was quite rude about it - i understand it was a busy day but she shouldn't have taken it out on my husband. The food was nice but we probably won't be coming back because of our experience with the staff.

We visited on the 11th of this month for late lunch before enjoying a night at the theatre. The staff member my husband interacted with (unfortunately we didn't get her name) dampened what was otherwise a nice afternoon.

I was served by a lovely girls but there was one guy with blond tips who stood outside and vaped most of the time, when I asked for something he glared at me and barely said anything. So rude.

Summer is finally here and I recently went to St. Kilda beach but what surprised me was the eatery/bar called @lonastkilda

Boasting a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere, delicious cocktails and amazing food, this is probably one of the best South American restaurants at St. Kilda

What I ordered:
Garlic Bread
Chicken Tacos
Chicken Parmigiana
White Chocolate and Passionfruit Cocktail

All the food I ordered was terrible. The wings were too salty, look like you're eating just salt.

I went to this dump of a place yesterday, foods was appalling, served by the staff with their masks down around their necks, service is shocking!
Stay clear of this place, they have no idea about hospitality!

Our group had a booking of 9 in the courtyard as we had previously enjoyed this area of the venue. When we arrived, we were told our table had been moved to out the front of the venue as the courtyard was full, despite pre-booking to secure the table.
Out the front of the venue, we were assigned to a bench which had pizza boxes, cigarettes and spilled drinks on the table and chairs and couldn't sit down. We opted for the bench beside it as it was cleaner, but was told to move back to our original bench before it had been cleared so that we could actually sit there.
THEN, due to the nature of the benches out the front being in a public area, we were confronted by a female who had already been at Lona and was very intoxicated. She came over and swore at us and proceeded to slap my friend across the face, completely unprovoked. Her male friend proceeded to push another member of our table as she stood to protect our friend. The security guard was aware of this girl, as I saw her pointing at us as she spoke to him prior to this occurring, and yet he did absolutely nothing to intervene as this unfolded 4 metres away directly in front of him.

Is it the venues fault that this girl behaved the way she did? No.
Is it the venues fault that we were sitting out the front in a vulnerable location rather than inside the venue in the courtyard as we booked? Yes! That is the whole purpose of booking in advanced. A member of your team was apologetic for what had happened but unfortunately what was meant to be a fun birthday celebration was anything but.

Well located venue.the music was loud so not the spot for a quiet chat but otherwise good. We didn't get food but hear it nice here.

Food was delicious. Was very busy on a Friday night so it took a little while to come to the table, live music added atmosphere. Only thing I didn't like was their g&t, not sure what they used, but probably the worst one I have had.

The outdoor area was just perfect for enjoying the late Autumn sun today. Coffee was terrific and staff so welcoming. I loved the menu although we didn't eat. However, I will be back. Croquettes are first to be devoured.

First impressions were good. Nicely decorated venue and garden out back is lovely. 1 of the local bartenders (Dominic) was great and very hospitable but when I went for another drink at the bar - mind you with no one else at the bar, the 3 bartenders ignored me and didn’t acknowledge me, (at 815pm on a Friday night & not busy). If you can’t serve me, say mate I won’t be a sec. Then no problem, but don’t ignore me. Other than that, was good.
