Walk in and welcome back to 1992. The dated decor, stars on the roof and bar area are a reflection of another era #tacky. The website is another relic - too many words, difficult to navigate and not mobile friendly. Needs to be simplified and redone by a proper web site company. Go look at any other restaurants website for inspiration. People want a link to the menu, opening hours, contact info, pictures of food and bookings online - that is it. Rest needs to be removed.

You are promised a "disney-experience" in customer service, however we were pretty much ignored the whole night. On several occasions we had to get the waiters attention for our drinks to be topped up - only to be told "they were not looking after our table and would get our waiter". I like drinks and water with my food. Waiting while my food gets cold while the correct waiter comes is unacceptable. The restaurant was not full and there were plenty of staff on.

The menu was ridiculous - another artifact of a 1990s style restaurant. The menu needs to be culled down considerably to maintain the integrity of the good food that is there and focus on just these things instead. Restaurants nowadays fit their menus on 1x A4 page - not a novel. It's not required to cater to every single thing. A few good seafood choices, few sides and starters done well. Maybe 1 meat and veg option. That's it, needs to be drastically reduced and made way less confusing. We could hear diners around that say similar things as they attempted to read it.
The lobster was ok, but everything was way too over seasoned & salty. Made us thirsty - wish I had any water. The sparkling water sitting on the tables was a tacky promotion. If you order sparkling you're getting refrigerated water anyway not this room temperature one so just remove it.

Also we did not appreciate a phone call a few hours before our reservation asking us to come in 15mins early to ensure we are out on time so because they're double sitting bookings are too close together. I've read all the other reviews and understand the managements reply will likely be quite defensive (no surprise from such a narcissistic-like who names cocktails & menu items after themselves *cringe at this tackiness*) and will likely say how would they have endured 30yrs if substandard? Welcome to the coupon world. Customers aren't stupid, any dining experience that relies heavily on groupon, scoopon, entertainment book etc does so for a reason. Any bums in seats is revenue rather than attempting to give diners a great experience and return in their own accord. My review is not meant to be insulting but genuine feedback that I would expect going to a restaurant in 2018. I think the management and staff need to go on some team excursions to some restaurants in Melbourne city and take some hints from these experiences.

Absolutely wonderful experience with the best food and service. Delightful atmosphere with soft background music and comfortable seats for relaxing conversation and enjoyable dining. Very happy diners.

Used to be a favourite spot. The food is delicious. Went there tonight for a birthday party and experienced some terrible service. Drinks that were ordered didn't come out, it took three attempts to order a soda lime and bitters. When we were waiting for desserts the hostess told us that we didn't have enough time to order tea because they had another booking. Unbelievably rude.

Food was great and the waiter was lovely at the start but it got ridiculous when the waiter kept telling us that they would need the table for 8pm for another booking. I was annoyed because why would you offer dessert and when it came out to be told loudly that we only had 5mins even though it was 7: 23pm. I felt rushed even though we had a table reservation and paid $600 for our table meals not to be able to enjoy it.

Only went there b’cause of a voucher purchased. Food was mediocre and lobster not fresh at all. Lobster over cooked and had to wait more than half hour for drinks to be served after orders taken. Dissapponted with service and quality of food, will try elsewhere next time round for better seafood.

Excellent customer service, delicious food, and the perfect ambiance.
I was lucky enough to be taken out for dinner here tonight and I will most definently be back!

Service wasn't too bad. Did take awhile for our wines to arrive. Food Servings are quite generous. Food isn't too bad but not great either. Wouldn't come back unless using a voucher

My first visit, highlight was the crispy sand crab and also the king George, very nice. Unfortunately the lobster wasn't the freshest, Expected better, also the king prawns hit and miss. Mussels, oysters average. Overall
slightly disappointing.
