Lobster Cave - Seafood Restaurant Melbourne

To be honest, the lady serving was rude and the Lobster rolls were a little.meh. For the price on a Lobster roll you would expect more than a mushy mess on a stale roll

Had a great lunch today with hubby @ Lobster Cave Beaumaris. The food was superb and has a 5 star quality. Excellent service with our beautiful waitress Bandana. She was so helpful and very attentive. We’ll definitely go back again. ️️️️️️

Excellent value for money if you know what to order, service is impeccable, lots of complimenty side dishes and treats at the end of you meal. Drinks are expensive but then it's worth it. See you for our free members birthday 3 course meal takeway!

Probs one of the most over priced places I've been to in Melbourne (so much for the great lobster over supply of 2021). At $200 bucks a head without booze - I would expect an experience / food that would blow your mind. Seems like a retirement home for diehard locals that are being conned into thinking they are fine dining. Dry caviar in the oysters that felt like eating sand. Steak ordered rare that my Breville grill at home could cook more accurately.

PS - I would love to see this place get put through Gordan Ramsey he'd sure have a ball. Might have to send him a letter.

We had a lovely night. The staff did an excellent job of looking after us. The food was delicious although quite expensive mainly the rock lobster. Would order something different for main if we go back.

I had to come back to my review to add my comments as i had trouble with my phone and I really wanted to share our experience on the night.
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary so had saved this dining experience for a special occasion as we suspected it would be great, and you didn't disapoint.
The ambiance as soon as you walk in is just beautiful. I could not fault a thing. And the aroma of the freshly cooked seafood hits you as soon as you walk in.
The staff are so courteous and kind. Our waitress Rachel was so professional and thoughtful and made sure our dining experience and evening was perfect.
The food is of highest quality and cooked to perfection. Never have I eaten a side if pilaf that was so divine. These chefs are amazing!
If you want an exceptional dining experience and want to try the best lobster? And seafood in Mrlbourne I suggest you give this place a go!

What a wonderful night at the lobster cave! Every meal was superb! We’ve never had so much lobster and shell seafood in one sitting! Oh and the crime brûlée was the best ever had!
Our waitress Rachel was so polite, kind and very attentive all night long! She spoilt us so much! We never had to wait for anything at all. She was always a step ahead - and so happy and bubbly, lovely young lady!
Thank you Rachel for making our night so memorable - you are truly one of a kind and one of the best waitresses we have encountered.

I have had the Lobster Cave deliveries during the lock down period and this is the best Seafood there is in Melbourne by far. Their professionalism throughout this difficult time is amazing and I will always be a supporter of the Lobster cave and cant wait to get back into the Restaurant and have a sit down meal.

We had another great experience at The Lobster Cave right from the moment Rachel introduced herself, the service as always was amazing! The entrees were to die for. The Oysters were the biggest we’ve ever had, the Scallops were absolutely delicious & the Octopus was totally divine! For our mains it was Steaks, Lobster & Scampi cooked to absolute perfection. For dessert we had Creme Brûlée & White Chocolate & Berry Mousse & a Nutella Espresso Martini & as always every dessert & cocktail we’ve had here is always sooo delicious. The special chocolate & alcoholic treat at the end was a very kind & thoughtful gesture aswell as the complimentary 2 glasses of Champagne next time we dine given to us was so lovely of Rachel so Thanku Rachel for a wonderful first time out of lockdown dining experience we will definately be back sooner rather than later. One thing I would love to see back on the drinks menu though is Bollinger. See you soon Lobster Cave!

Once seated, the service was very friendly & warm.
Food was tasty, cooked as how seafood should be cooked, with good portion sizes. Some of the best lobster I’ve had in my life!
The little treats to start & end the dinner was such a great touch for CX, we especially loved the little “Thank You for dining with us” take home box of surprise

The pricing can be a shocker if you haven’t checked them out before hand or aren’t used to dining out lavishly.
It’s definitely a restaurant for the occasion.
I recommend visiting just for the sake of it though. We had a great night with great food & service

Today the Lobster Cave provided over 100 meals to staff at Sandringham Hospital for the second year in a row. This year we were supplied their fabulous Prawn roll and Crème Brule dessert which were delicious! Thank you to the staff and management for this very generous gesture it was very much appreciated by all of us at Sandringham Hospital.

The staff was so friendly and helpful, all food was cooked perfectly and presented wonderfully. I would definitely recommend!

Had the grilled seafood medley for a lockdown night. It was really great, much better than I was excepting. Lots of food all well cooked and presented, we even had leftovers for lunch the next day and used the shells/heads to great a large batch of seafood broth and chowder. The creme brulee is authentic. Jumbo oysters (as name suggests) a bit big for our liking and unfortunately the wine wasn't boutique Yarra Valley, but an OKish De Bortoli from NSW that could have been chilled more. Overall great and will be back.

The food is always amazing and so is their customer service. Support them during lockdown so that we can all enjoy dining in again once restrictions eased.

The platter of beautifully presented seafood delivered to home was fresh and delicious. This generous offer also included French wine, prawn bisque and dining voucher. Thank you for a much welcomed service during lockdown

The Lobster Cave is an example of an opulent 1980s concept that has actually aged very well. I think twenty odd years ago, this institution was starting to date badly, and was treading water towards time capsule oblivion. Enter the current sharp and attentive welcoming service (Daniella and Jai were so wonderful to us), impeccable preparation of the generous servings of delicious food, and a super clean and vibrant setting. Our table had a special birthday evening to remember.

Had an amazing night, the food is absolutely delicious and bountiful. Special shout out to Rachel, Hamish and James for the fantastic experience. Would recommend for any occasion
