Reasonable wedding reception venue. Food and atmosphere was quite good. Maybe a bit pricey for most people.

The Leonda team helped us enjoy an amazing wedding day and stress free leadup. Despite the ever changing COVID environment Leonda was so flexible making adjustments specific to us, and especially accommodating our last minute requests on the day too. The staff on the day were very professional and ensured everyone was taken care of, including the kids. Thank you again to Abbey & the team in making sure our event flowed smoothly and met our expectations. Will be recommending Leonda to friends and family!

Great venue for a wedding or any function. Lots of open spaces, nice views of the Yarra and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Amazing staff and friendly service, I was an employee for them around 10 years ago and I've attended few events ever since. It's a bit more $$$ when you're hosting an event but well worth the price. Chris and his team are amazing

Modern stylish function centre with views to the Yarra from the floor to ceiling windows. Great staff with restaurant quality food beautifully plated. The main room has a large bar area on the marble tiles mezzanine which adds an air of elegance and sophistication. Off street Parking is available in the council carpark adjacent. If you are at a day function make sure you get a parking permit from the staff to put in your car (free) or you'll almost certainly get a ticket! If your at a function that goes late, beware of parking at the back close to the river. I have been at a few functions where the unsupervised car park has had cars right at the back broken into via smashed car windows.

My husband and I can't thank the team at Leonda enough for creating the wedding of our dreams. While planning a wedding when residing interstate and with continuous COVID-related changes was challenging, the team at Leonda, particularly Zoe and Abbey, were fantastic with their quick responses to any of our queries and accomodating our reduced guest numbers. On our wedding night, the overall service, attention to detail, and food was incredible. We are so thankful that we picked Leonda to host our special day.

Disgraceful treatment of a new staff member by the event operation manager Tom on Tuesday evening/night event. It’s enough to put anyone off from using this venue.

One of Melbourne's top and popular reception venues in an ideal location, sitting high above the Yarra on Wallan Rd in Hawthorn, the floor to ceiling picture windows are a highlight and the owners and staff go above and beyond to make your experience that something extra, food is great and the decor elegant. The almost full wall mirror gives the ballroom added depth and makes the room look extra spacious, the long bar is a highlight.

We had originally booked Leonda's sister venue Fenix to host our wedding, however Fenix closed down during the pandemic and we were moved to Leonda as a result.

Leonda did a great job at honoring the inclusions from the original package we had with Fenix. Our coordinator Abbey was friendly and delightful to work with. The venue was very flexible around last minute changes that we requested due to the rising COVID numbers and guests having to unfortunately cancel.

They made our wedding night itself absolutely unforgettable and we both had the most amazing night that we will never forget for all the right reasons! Our guests could not stop raving about the food and the gorgeous venue.
We would definitely recommend Leonda as a wedding venue. The inclusive packages were so easy and the staff all so lovely!

My wife and I had our wedding at Leonda and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The venue was absolutely stunning and everything ran perfectly on the day as planned and the food was amazing. We had a few dropouts due to Covid leading up to the wedding and they were flexible with our numbers up until the last minute. Abbey was our wedding coordinator and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. She was very professional and made sure every detail was covered. Thank you to the Leonda team and I will be recommending you guys to all of my family and friends.

Do not book your wedding or event here if you're at all concerned about any unforeseeable circumstances occurring as a result of COVID. Dealt directly with the owner Eric who was extremely unreasonable and had absolutely no sympathy for keeping our 10k deposit. We signed a booking agreement way before the vaccine mandate was even in question. Once it was enforced, I touched base immediately to advise that the most important people in my life couldn't attend as a result of this - and he basically said bad luck, we're not returning any of your money - despite the mandate being completely unforeseeable. They said they couldn't refund me because they have staff to support and need to ensure they can survive the pandemic. Absolutely no sympathy for their clients who are also doing it tough in this pandemic.

Leonda doesn't care. They're happy to profit off the misfortune of their clients and are willing to take financial advantage of you any chance they get. They won't even bother personalising a reasonable response to you - they just send you a canned response they keep on file to make it even easier for them to take your money and move on.

I spoke to so many friends and family who were also planning weddings at this time - and after comparing, all their venues were so understanding - They were shocked to hear about how The Leonda were treating their clients. Save yourself the trouble and find another venue. We wish we did.

My sons wedding was held at Leonda last night in the garden room. Everything was perfect. The room is spectacular and the setting sun in the background was beautiful. Service was great and the food was amazing. Venue staff were accommodating and organised. Highly recommended

Great service and drinks. The venue is great. But a bit more care to detail. Outside area wasn't as good it could be. Some of the lanterns not working.a water feature off and dirty. Would have been perfect with some quick fixes. Some of the food options wasn't the best (potato gnocchi was.old glue) but some were great (Parmesan chicken).

I work for First Dance Melbourne and came to Leonda to teach a final lesson in the venue before my couple's wedding.

Not only were the facilities great but the team there were amazing. They greeted me with a smile and knew who I was. They gave the couple and me access to their sound system so we could use it for practice rather than my little speaker. Halfway through the lesson they brought down some glasses of water for the couple.

If this is the kind of care they take during a dance rehearsal, the rest of your wedding or event is in safe hands with them. Thank you Shelley and the team.

Fiona got back to me straight away, organised Zoom meeting, Fiona was informative and very patient with us. She provided different options of the packages available.
