Le Taj Restaurant & Lounge reviews
76We ordered a set meal for 2 and it was delicious. They also let us swap and choose the mains that we wanted in the menu. The girl serving us was so nice and pleasant and very quick with her service. Great Indian restaurant.
Food was absolutely delicious. A good variety of meals available, something to suit everyone. Nothing shop bought here.all authentic. Nice variety of Indian beers too. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service was warm and inviting. I couldn't fault it and highly recommend it for anyone who loves Indian food and for those wishing to try it, you won't be disappointed.
Food was ok. Service was good. Better Indian food in the vicinity, and it's not a cheap meal. Garlic naan was the highlight (actually really good). The slogan at the bottom of the receipt was a bit odd and inappropriate:/
Pleasant ambiance. Nice Music. Friendly staff but food quality not good. Papads got sand. Dal Makhani spoiled. Rotis are ok. Not so great or not so bad.
Quality Indian food. I really enjoyed my meal. It is slightly more expensive than the usual Indian fare but the service and the food is worth the price.
Nice place. Love the Indian foods. It's little bit take time to serve foods but those were really delicious.
Delicious food and good service. Not many people for dinner on Friday night which was surprising especially after tasting the food. But if you are looking for good Indian food this should definitely be on your list.
Food is delicious here. Must try chilli panner. If you want best Indian food you must try this place.
Saturday night. 8.30 Quiet night
Friendly staff nice menu. Dips plate barely enough for one let alone two.
Rice was nice but too many raisins, took over to dish. Mixed appetisers were under undercooked and over spiced. Much to hot to be enjoyable. The salad dish was over spiced. I've never had a spiced salad before, big mistake.
Service was slow not enough staff.
Dissapointing might.
This is a gem of an Indian restaurant in central Melbourne. A fantastic find and I plan to return multiple times.
Not authentic but better than other terrible Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Service is slow. Staff is not friendly & the Sardar managing it is rude. Slightly Overpriced considering avg.taste n quantity.
Best Indian food in Melbourne and best service ever. Very clean restaurant with amazing ambience.
Ambiance good
Food -yah they make it as per your choice
But the attitude-that makes the difference, n it shows it all whether you will succeed in your biz or not.which was absurd.we came here to eat and will pay for it.we r not here for free food.so keeep your attitude aside n serve with smile, it will cost you nothing.
Despite the food was good, I couldn’t enjoyed the place.no table preparation, very arrogant owner/or was he from staff, don’t know.so 2 stars.dhanyavaad.
Long time customer here. With every visit, Le Taj always delivers. The majority of the reviews highlight the quality of the food, and they are absolutely spot on.
Le Taj offers a range of delicious curries and side dishes. Ranging from chicken tikka masala, rogan josh to vindaloo, you can expect wholesome texture and authentic taste. Lamb, chicken, even goat meat are prepared fresh and always tender. We recommend our personal favourite goat masala, enjoy with some goats cheese naan.
But what truly distinguishes Le Taj from other authentic Indian restaurants in North Melbourne is their spice. So if you can handle your heat, try their tindaloo curries! They are indeed very, very hot yet the spice does not overpower the wholesome texture you can expect from the milder dishes.
Awfully slow service, it took them one hour to prepare food for three of us. When the food arrived it was so spicy that we could not even eat. The staff was so rude and arrogant. Never coming back here and would suggest the same to others.
