Really poor quality coffee. I recognise they are catering to an elderly customer base who like their coffees hot, so go elsewhere if you want well made coffee. The milk had clearly been burnt which was extremely disappoitning considering it cost $4.30.
Prices should also be displayed in front of cakes and pastries at the counter.

I don't think I'll be visiting Laurent again as the quality has dropped across all stores over the last few years, while met with rising prices.

This morning I passed by before going to work and bought a tart and mushroom sandwich. When I ordered the pecan tart, I found that the clerk kept rolling his eyes and was impatient. Then I asked the clerk to help me heat the sandwich, but I didn’t get the heat at all, it was cold and hard, The service attitude is really bad, all faces are so stinky, I will never go again

We visited Laurent Bakery at Doncaster for breakfast last weekend. It’s situated in Doncaster shopping centre and has a lovely interior with plenty of seating out the front of the store.
We started with a coffee each while our breakfast was being prepared. We ordered the Croque monsieur, the Avocado Tartine and the Brioche Eggs Duo. The Croque Monsieur was delicious. Nice amount of ham and cheese and we loved the bechemel sauce. The Avocado Tartine was plated beautifully. It had great flavours. The Avo was light and fluffy. The walnuts and fetta give this dish a nice flavour and texture contrast. The Brioche Eggs duo were one plain and one charcoal bite sized brioche buns. The relish was nice and spicy. The eggs were done well. We also tried the Roast lamb in Turkish Bread. It was a good size serving. The roast lamb was tasty and the roll was nice and crispy.
After we enjoyed our breakfast, we then were lucky to indulge in some of their signature cakes and pastries with another coffee each.
The store manager Alanna was so lovely and very accommodating.
It was a very lovely and relaxing Saturday morning breakfast. We took the some pastries and cakes home. And we also purchased some of their delicious sourdough loaves.
We thank Laurent Bakery for a lovely breakfast. All of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time of our visit.

Who doesn’t love Laurent’s bread and cakes i forgot how good a simple ham and cheese croissant could be! Not to mention all the desserts too!

My favourite coffee shop in Westfield! The coffee and dessert are just too good. The staff are always super helpful and welcoming, especially Alanna who always goes all the way to make you have a great time in these difficult COVID times!:)

Laurent has the reputation for having the best vanilla slice in Melbourne, so I had to check it out. This is definitely more of a patisserie set up, with a number of tables if you wish to sit in. Service was amazing, and was very busy with a lot of takeaways. The staff were very friendly.

Drinks are way too hot. My daughter burned her tongue. But the cakes are delicious. Service varies from person to person.

A must-visit when I'm in the area, I can never resist their fruit & custard tarts. The pastry is perfect every time and the custard, I could eat by the bucket load!

Purchased some takeaway goodies from Laurent Bakery in Doncaster and they went down a treat. Browny points with the Mrs and the kids because they absolutely loved them all. The chocolate treats are definitely our favorites and a hit with the kids. Highly Recommend.

Sad to see this shop close. I loved popping by here during my shopping trips to grab an almond croissant and a coffee. Always lovely staff and yummy pastries

Asked for extra hot chocolate, but it was just lukewarm and yucky. 2 stars because they're friendly.

Came here to grab a quick coffee and pastries.

Their payment machine did not work properly and this is the 2nd time now that we visited and this happened. All it needs was a proper re enter of purchase. However the cashier Cassandra was not very keen on doing that until asked.

Staff were not friendly at all. It's a shame because the decor is not bad at all and they serve decent pastries.

The one star rating is already way too generous for the trashy customer service we received.

Unfriendly. Bad coffee. Cold bread. Terrible!
It was very bad experience.
I wasted my money and time.
Only 1time, enough. No more!
The waitress was fine.

Laurent is as reliable as having lunch at Café de la Paix. With a large range of sweet and savoury dishes, you’ll definitely find something delicious to enjoy. The food is not too heavy, and the service is very quick. Only issue is the coffee here is not always great. Nonetheless, this is our choice pit stop for a quick meal.

Laurent has always, and still is my go-to for a quick coffee and cakes. With so many branches dotted around Melbourne, you'll be able to find a Laurent whenever the need for sweets arise.

It's not just the cakes and pastries that are stunning here, the bread are just as amazing. Consistency across all outlets is one of their selling point, and the coffees are always pleasant to drink.

I was lucky enough to attend a store launch in Westfield Doncaster which included a chocolate rose making workshop. The bakery has a classic classy vibe and has seats inside the store or you can opt to sit out front which is lit nicely by the glass ceiling. There are many branches around Melbourne and I'm happy to confirm the quality is consistent across all stores. The cakes, pastry and bread are all very delicious. The rose making workshop was fun and interactive and it was amazing to know it's made with chocolate and not fondant.

I love coming here mainly because I enjoy drinking coffee in a place with excellent decor which Laurent delivers. Coffee is good. Tarts and sandwiches are delicious. Bit on the pricey end.

So disappointed. The place is busy yet the food is bland and over priced. Nicely located at the expense side end of the shopping centre it attracts those who clearly have disposable income because I won’t return. Staff were indifferent and took a long time to serve me and the others waiting. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller friendly.
