Koko reviews
81The food was on another level. I don't eat seafood but I tried everything and it was all delish a couple of items were a little strong for me but I didn't want to ruin the experience and not try everything. The service was exceptional. I will be back again with hubby next time. 10/10
The Asian female manager who wears glasses, is extremely rude.
The waitress is very nice and friendly, great service.
Went to Koko for a teppanyaki lunch to celebrate our anniversary. It was such an incredible experience. We received great friendly service from our chef Albert and the food was delicious and well presented. We had the sashimi, seafood broth in clay teapot, angus beef tenderloin, swordfish and Hokkaido scallops. Definitely worth a second visit!
What an amazing experience from the moment we walked in. I would rate it 10 stars if I could
The service and atmosphere is great. The sashimi is pretty fresh, but lack of high level fish.
Highly recommended
Fantastic teppanyaki experience with friendly chef
Great food
Great Services
Foods are fresh. Nice services. Prices increased a little. Anyway still be my favorite teppanyaki place.
Over priced food bad service. I hate to say it nobu is far better. The steak sandwich I got from room service is far better
The Tepanyaki Chef Felipe was wonderful. Very engaging and the food was superb. The staff were exceptionally accommodating with our children and made them feel special on their birthday. The service and food was quite simply exemplary.
Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, Wagyu was amazing and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Good atmosphere and the layout is great. While on the expensive side of things, this restaurant is a good choice for formal occasions.
Personally a big fan of Japanese food. Partner brought me here on my birthday, loved it so much! Not only raw food was so fresh, customer service was 5 starts- thanks to our attendant Mia️️
Kenny serves our lunch that he is a really good chef! I always want to take the plate from him when he gave me food but he keep reminding me that the plate is hot so he put it in the right place for me and also reminded me that the food is hot too. He serves really well!
The service was lovely and very accommodating. We ordered from their set menu, and it was way too much to eat but tasted amazingly fresh and perfectly balanced. We had a quiet chef, so there was not much entertaining, but they did a perfect job with the food.
Legitimately blown me away. I ordered a set menu and was absolutely delighted.
But this sadly doesn't apply to everything on the menu. Last time we ordered shabu shabu and it was not quite up to standard (but certainly wasn't bad or anything, far from it). Regardless, food here is generally spectacular to say the least.
Highly recommend!
Always a pleasure to dine here. Service is superb the crayfish tempura and toothfish were delightful.
We traveled to Melbourne recently and went to KoKo for a friend’s birthday. When we made the booking, we did specify that it’s a birthday celebration. People who sat next to us got a small cake and candle for his birthday, but we got nothing. All other fine dining that we’ve visited for celebration of birthdays, we always receive something extra, like a happy birthday message written in chocolate. Not that we care about freebies but it’s the thoughts that matter. Otherwise what’s the point of asking customers what the occasion is? Then the food - I was so looking forward to the tooth fish but it turned out to be tasteless. The Wagyu beef was smelly to me. The fried rice looked amazing but so hard to chew. And service? So not worth the $190 I paid. The waiter came around couple of time trying to take away the dish that I didn’t even finish. I understand there was a 2-hour seating time, or perhaps it was too dark for the waiter to see the food on the plate, I just felted being rushed to finish. When we finished, we asked to take away the leftover food. They packed everything but then forgot to put one container in the takeout bag. The only good thing about it was the drinks, super nice. But that’s about it.
Had the MOMIJI set for a birthday celebration. The standard was well below what one would expect for the price of $120 per head. The dishes tasted no better than the typical shopping centre Japanese restaurant. Service was good and ditto the ambiance, which is really what you're paying for. Similarly priced options in the CBD such as Kisume and Izayaka Den are fart superior.
Came with the family on a Monday, couldn’t book online so just turned up. We got a table immediately and the staff were very friendly.
Did tepanaki, our chef was so lovely and we enjoyed it immensely. Highly recommended
Benchmark for perfection in service. A connoisseur's delight. Well worth paying that little bit extra for such perfection.
Exceptional service, great quality ingredients and fantastic flavours.
We ordered the $150 pp set menu, it was a great dining experience. The tooth fish was an absolute highlight.
The decor was exquisite and the view near the window would’ve been amazing.
The staff were helpful and pleasant.
