Lots of products and enough staff to help you with the selection. On our visit the staff name Sunshine was so polite and humble. She has got good knowledge of all the products and helped us to get from the warehouse.
I huge shout out to Joel and Justin for what is clearly the best customer service I have ever had. I had an issue with aTV delivery and they amazingly offered to come to my house to help me, even though they played no part in the delivery issue. It is the best example of going above and beyond and will be a story I tell everyone when I’m talking about legendary customer service. Thank you Joel and Justin for making Father’s Day memorable.
Everytime I come into this store, trying to find a sales rep is honestly almost impossible. Part of me feels like the staff intentionally avoid you. I was standing in the tv section, near the register for over 20mins. Sales rep saw me and walked away. Absolutely frustrating. Left and went to the hoppers crossing store and got asked if I needed anything before I got to the TV's. Won't come back to the Altona store. Super disappointing.
If it were not for Justin, this rating would have been ‘poor’. There were 3 younger sales people standing at the front of the store when I walked in, chatting about holidays and what they like to eat and completely ignoring customers. I was browsing coffee machines and very close to them. It would have been quite obvious I was there. Justin eventually appeared from somewhere within the store and asked if I required assistance. I had given up on the younger staff and started researching machines on my phone and therefore didn’t need his help at that time. Once I had decided which machine I wished to purchase, I stood near the younger staff as Justin was busy with another customer. After being ignored again, I stepped away to wait for Justin. Had he not approached me earlier and been helpful, I pretty much would have walked out of the store at that moment. Justin was clearly the only staff member in that part of the store ‘working’ and his customer service was excellent.

Hi I went to Altona Store and I requested specifically a drone with auto tracking, the seller recommended one and when I started using it there is not auto tracking, I tried to exchange for a new one and it was not possible. It good experience.

Click and collect staff are rude especially the lady who did not want to be there l. If you don’t like your job give it to someone who deserves it and needs it as there are many jobless people who are desperate. Respect what you do you are getting paid.

I bought my items this store it is good.
The customer service is helpful and good people.
No staff on floor to help at 6pm. That was a year ago in 2021.
Attended again in Nov 22 around 1pm and asked for help in buying a microwave and a fridge, the shelf stocking person CANNOT help but radioed for sale person to attend, l waited for about 5 minutes. Then one of the two cashiers radioed again and still no one attended. All done on headsets so the customer never hears a response in any!
After 10 minutes l left for a better "service" electronics store.
A couple of questions are why can't the shelf stockist serve a customer? Why can't the second cashier (if not busy) serve a customer? Why can't staff be multi-task? I question the managers position losing customers and lack of management of staff and training.
Don't get me wrong l enjoy JB HiFi, but l do not like bad service.
Altona Manager, what's wrong with this?:
One staff stocking selves.
Two staff at cashiers desk with no customers.
Zero sales person/s attended.
One customer waiting 10 minutes to be served with no feedback like sales person with another customer, will be with you shortly.
Answer: Equals no sales, Bad reputation, Lose of customer to competition.
Today, (Thursday 22/09/22)
I brought a new vacuum cleaner. The lady that served me, I didn't catch her name but she was super helpful and her knowledge of the products was 2nd to none. She went above and beyond to help with the sale. She is a true credit to the store.perfect customer service and people skills!
Didn't know they do price matches too, that's great!

Good range of CDs - there's not really anywhere else around here that sells much "alternative" or Americana.the only other option is to go into town or online. The go to place for your audio visual entertainment media plus very competitive prices for cameras, TVs & stuff.
No wonder Brashes, Virgin Megastore, Sanity music are no longer around. JB has & still has a great working model
Me and my husband were very satisfied with the level of customer service from this JB. They were all friendly and helpful especially Pat who assisted us with our technical issue with some stuff we bought over a year ago. After sales interaction can be painful, but Pat made the interaction smooth and delightful. Thanks Pat and the rest of JB HiFi Altona branch gang. You rock!
The girl who deals with phones is rude judgemental and arrogant deskusting on how I was treated. Do not waste your time with this jb hi fi.
Staff are friendly and accommodating! The jbhifi i usually go to even if there are other jbhifi storeS (emphasis on plurality) closer to my place.
The staff here are nice. Stock here is good. Also in a very good location. Can definitely recommend!
