Izakaya Den

The staffs were so lovely, friendly and attentive. Very good service, consistently topping up our water and drinks when needed. Their meat and sashimi were made fresh and the sauce provided complimented the dish well. However, the dessert was simple and a little plain but overall, I have and would go again to eat and this place:)
The location and environment makes is very different from another restaurants and bars. It's a place you must check out and see for yourself

There were quite a few vegetarian dishes on the menu, but out of 8, only enjoyed 1. Hope the meat dishes justify this rating. Weird vibe as well.

Izakaya den is hidden away in a basement and could easily be missed but behind the heavy black curtains is a lively izakaya bar.

The food is exceptional. Fresh, tasty and presented beautifully. Dishes are far from pretentious and something as simple as grilled shiitake can taste so amazing.

Service is friendly and attentive.

Best Japanese restaurant in Melbourne! Not cheap but you get what you pay for and the banquets are huge! Definitely coming back soon.

Wonderful vibe. They cater for coeliacs with a very accommodating gluten free menu. Lovely staff. Always come back again!

Great fresh dishes on offer at the underground Japanese restaurant. I highly recommend the seared tuna dish. They also have a decent selection of desserts. The black sesame creme brûlée was a great finish to the meal

My favourite place in Melbourne to go. The crispy Kale is awesome and the Japanese Whisky selection is amazing.
