76Every movie has to be in 3d.it's terrible. They should at least do one showing a day of normal 2d verisons
Came to watch Captain Marvel
Tried ordering a Made Real Combo only to be told they have no stock of choc tops?
Worst part is they didn’t even offer some sort of compensation or alternative!
Popcorn was bland, no salt or butter taste!
Are you serious?
The worst experience ever!
Watched a couple of movies this year and the screen is so huge, sound effect so good, I felt like I was a part of the movie. Parking is also really convenient, only $5 with a movie ticket after 5pm (I think).
chairs comfortable, 3D glasses upgraded, I had enjoyed my time there!
Great 3D experience!
Today we took our son to see Volcanoes 3D
The documentary film itself was great, the cinema is well set up, with the seats directly in front being high enough that the screen is still clearly visible, even if a taller person is seated directly in front. The screen is huge too, they say it's the largest in the world. I would definitely recommend a trip here to watch a movie.
Leg room is a big issue here. No freedom to stretch out legs throughout a long movie makes it a very uncomfortable experience. This is followed by a line for the males urinal which after the movie. Given this, Hoyts is much more preferred. Imax needs an upgrade.
Nice big screen, sound volume was a peg too loud for my ears,
I would bring ear plugs next time,
General seating I found a bit on tight side in width and leg room being a large 6 footer,
for me I would not entertain the thought of going again unless using the premium seating with extra leg room.
Really helpful staff and ample parking underneath. Largest screen in southern hemisphere. Must see for films shot in IMAX
The incredible place both in the cinema and museum. I have enjoyed with 3D movie with big screen. The museum also wide range and technologically organized.
Amazing experience that it is ruined by the bottleneck management have created to access toilets after a movie. There are only one set of toilets which is simply not enough to cater for a large crowd. If you're busting to go after a movie, then be prepared to stand in a very long queue.
Greatest IMAX experience. I have gone to different IMAX theatres around world and this is the best for me. The screen is huge. I believe this is the current biggest IMAX screen in the world. Seats are very comfortable. Excellent customer service when buying tickets.
Staff always helpful. Wheelchair access is great. Movie prices are just crazy these days though no matter where you go, at least imax offer a different variety and experience than the others.
Excellent experience. Overpriced but generally with the kind of service you are getting they do deserve the price. In comparison to Hoyts their screen is bigger but their seats are smaller. Sound quality is better than Hoyts and the rest. Candy bar is also on the expensive side of things. Usually heavily booked during the weekends.
Only IMAX 4K cinema in Melbourne. Only one theater, so few movies and sessions. Picture quality is not great as it should be but the giant screen still beats every other cinemas in Melbourne. Equal waking distance from both Melbourne Central and Parliament stations. (About 1km) Ticket price 30$. This will be the largest IMaX screen in world until Sydney IMAX reopens.
Cinema features educational 3D documentaries in morning sessions for relatively less price. Very suitable for kids. 20$
Awesome experience to catch a 3D experience on the silver screen.largest cinema display in state of Victoria
The best cinema experience I have had! Why watch a movie when you can be a part of one Always a good experience here with nice friendly staff. Comfortable seating with the option of premium seats that recline. Good food options with alcoholic drinks available. 3D movies have glasses supplied for you that are professionally cleaned. Not all new releases are shown as there is only one screen, but its a massive screen. You will enjoy yourself here!
Great place, awesome movies, but make sure to check where your seat is before leaving the kiosk, they like to fill one row at a time and you might get stuck on the end of a row if you don't specify.
I love this place. The experience at IMAX is second to none. The issue i have is with staff allowing young children into clearly M rated movies. I was there on 19 May watching deadpool, and there was at least three children also watching this movie. My concern isnt about them being children, albiet an issues for IMAX and their licence, but with the children clearly shrieking loudly every time somone was killed or maimed. ITS AN M RATED MOVIE!
IMAX = an amazing theatre experience.
Watching movies at the IMAX theatre is expensive but it's really an amazing experience to see a movie on such a large screen and in 3D with an outstanding and immersive sound system, truly a different experience to watching movies at your regular city or suburban theatre. And when I say big, the screen is the largest IMAX screen in the southern hemisphere which can be overwhelming so you just have to select the right movie to see and choose the right seat. The staff is super friendly and helpful which makes for a pleasant overall experience.
Recently saw Ready Player One here in 3D, our first venture to an IMAX cinema. Absolutely amazing! It's so loud and the screen is HUGE! We didn't personally find the screen too big or overwhelming, but I would definitely recommend sitting in the back rows so you can take everything in.
Food options are a lot more reasonable than at Hoyts or Village, and they have raspberry coke! 3D glasses are well maintained and I found, as a glasses wearer, they were easier to wear than the usual ones. The price tag can seem a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it for the experience - we will be heading back to see Avengers Infinity War in style:)
Amazing cinema, it's a bit pricy but their membership deals are amazing (discount tickets, 1 free welcome ticket, 1 birthday ticket, 6 paid tickets for one free ticket) and the don't show ads like the other cinemas. 4k digital laser projection is a monster once you experienced it you'll never want to watch in any other cinema again.
