What better place to watch awesome movies than an IMAX? Membership comes with benefits and I got to enjoy a free movie on my birthday!
They run special events from time to time like movie marathons and it's a great atmosphere with other fans.
Staff are polite and helpful.

Great screen with pretty good viewing from most seating positions. Friendly and helpful staff, decent pricing. Seating isn't the best but the sound and screen are fantastic.

Been going to this cinema for a long time. It's well situated close to public transport, has friendly staff and comfortable amenities. The bathroom can have a queue after a long session.

In addition to movies on the big screen IMAX shares a complex with the Melbourne museum, great for making a day of a movie and an educational experience. Finish up with a walk through the lovely Carlton gardens and you've got a perfect Sunday.

Nice experience, didn’t give 5 stars as we didn’t appreciate the various adds at the beginning of the Great Barrier Reef movie - of different movies- which scared the kids.

Had always waited to have the experience of watching Movie in IMAX screen and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The sound system and screen which is most talked about does not disappoint you in fact it makes you want for more. Will come and watch movies in IMAX. Loved it

Watched the Lord of the Rings Marathon and I'll definitely be back if they do it again next year, it was so god to see it on the large imax screen. I like the curved screen but the seats are a little narrow. Reccomend sitting upper middle or further back so you're not looking up at the screen

Spectacular. Kong vs Godzilla 2021. This is the way to watch it.
The sound is loud enough to feel the Thump but not too loud to blow the ear drums off. Amazing.

Beware - IMAX as policy will not refund your money if you cannot make it to a session, even if you inform them well ahead of time. I had to forcefully request a refund for over $100 over a week in advance.

I saw ww84 here a few nights back. These guys have their covid plan and action down pat.
I saw people contact cleaning.
I was asked at two points about filling out my details for covid tracing.
We were separated from other theatre patrons by spare seats.
The IMAX staff are doing a great job.

Imax theatre not good. There are 2 big spotlights that shine on the audience from above the seats. I am a professional lighting designer and these lights are terrible. Before the movie starts during the 'whats coming attractions' these lights shine hard in your eyes. Before the movie finishes and the credits start these 2 bright lights come on again, we all had 3D glasses on and the glasses reflect these lights and made it difficult to read the credits and tag on the end of the film. Simply pointing these 2 lights towards the wall or diffusing them would solve this. At $30 a ticket the experience for 10 of us was poor.

Huge screen, comfortable seating. Visited many times as they have great choices of both movies and docos.

Great cinema, smallish rooms which are a plus. Comfy seats. Friendly staff. Good size snack bar and service of alcohol. Wide variety of movies, from current releases to specific theme months

Awesome screen and sound to experience the latest blockbuster or documentaries alongside a Melbourne Museum visit. Highly recommend the premium seats up the back of the theatre for that extra bit of comfort. I saw Gravity a few years back when I travelled to Melbourne on a cruise and more recently the movie 1917.

I went there with my family. My kids loved the place. Combination of IMAX theatre and Melbourne Museum is great! You can do it in any order and fit in a lunch in the cafe between the two activities. The documentary we watched was really impressive and interesting. The 3D effects were really good. The sound was excellent and screen was huge. The shows are good and the seating is comfortable. It's a great place to visit with family or friends.

Didn't even go! Trying to sign up for membership at 30 bucks and wanted to see 2 movies in one day for 2 people, and discounts do not go across all movies and shows one thing and does another when go to book.your site is no good.when you pay for membership should have option to pay for movies at same time all in one hit so you know what costs are going to be with new membership.you lose 5 payments and us going out for tea in Carlton etc etc technology has not made life easier and your set up is a scam.

Went to see star wars.aprat from it being small, my chair was wet and generally dirty.along with my "misty" 3d lenses.i used to love going here bc of the screen and sound.but I'd rather a smaller screen with big leather (clean) chairs.also, cut the ads short.way too long.

Parking is virtually nonexistent which caused me to be late to see the Kanye West film. The screen I watched required me to walk up and down a few flights of stairs. The advertising for this film was hand painted. Delivery of e ticket was very easy to follow. Staff member walked me in with a flashlight so I wouldn’t trip. I still tripped. Lol

The scale and scope of the screen here is mind blowing and I will recommend this place anytime to anyone who enjoys IMAX.
