Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen reviews
82Friendly staff but meal lacks value for money. Ramen is overpriced for the quality of the dish. Soup was lukewarm and wasn't flavorsome enough, meat was not as tender as expected.
Very nice ramen, service, and decor.
You get a lot more noodles here than you do at a lot of other ramen joints. Caught me off guard a bit as I ordered the extra noodles (which is free) and was surprised by just how much there was.
With this in mind, the the slightly steeper price is understandable.
This ramen place has some of the best booth and soy garlic ramen you could ask for. I stumbled upon this place by chance and glad I did.
It is comparable to some of the ramem I have had in Japan. Expect the pork isn't as tender.
Overrated by far.
Soup 2/5 not hot enough
Pork (slow cook pork belly) 1/5 served not hot, tough texture
Noodle 3/5 cue cue but not hot
Service 4/5 only good thing
Ok food which was nice enough, but ramen style wasnt quite traditional Japanese style. Almost right but not quite with some traditional ingredients exchanged to modernize perhaps.
Friend brought me here for Friday lunch. Very interesting how you customise your ramen bowl using the placement menu and a pencil. Food was super yummy! Only complaint is bit exxy for lunch but totally worth it, but it came out quick so will be back.
I am surprise overall food are below average, it was my first time visit, noodle was just warm, pork taste metal, fried chicken taste also weird.things look no maintenance, not sure could be because of the chief or owner is changed, service was ok.
Love the concept of customising your own ramen broth. Noodles were perfect however I felt like there was slightly too mug garlic in my broth, although maybe that was my fault when customising (?) We also bought gyoza which come in a set of 7 but they gave us 8 since it was for sharing between myself and my partner. Staff are also really friendly!
Incredibly limited vegetarian options, shockingly distracted service. Asahi black was good. Be prepared to pay premium prices for a mess hall experience. ‘Gyoza skins’ are actually just deep fried carb offcuts (better known as chips) - they serve it with a generous scrape of wasabi mayo. We ate the communal ginger because we needed to make some
money back. Go here only if you’re hungry and have exhausted all other ramen options in Melbourne. At least they had plenty of seating.
Great selection and options to tailor the Ramen. Good open space even though tucked away underground. Very friendly staff. Could be a bit cheaper and would be great to have more "one person" side dishes.
Delicious, filling and not expensive. Friendly and fast service! Very happy and left with a full belly!
Free extra Ramen noodles and heaps of customisable choices - what more could you ask for in a Ramen place?
All i have to say is, the ramen is ok for me. You get to pick what base soup you want, what condiments you want etc. So as a result everyone's ramen are different. My ramen soup was a bit salty, overall i can still finish it. What i like is their side dish chicken wings. It is a good portion, cheap and well marinated and was made well to eat. The place is well designed and spacious. Consequently, this restaurant is ok to eat. I only come back if it is close by or i happen to walk pass it. It is still not satisfying as the bowl of ramen in Japan.
Amazing food. Quick and polite service. Difficult to get downstairs with pram and no disabled access but quality of food makes up for it!
Rich broth that goes perfectly with extra bowl of rice. A hint of roast tea smell in the slow cook belly guarantees full stomach.
Ramen was pretty bad as in the cha shu having a really bad smell. Thank god I didn't get food poisoning from the piece that I had eaten
A bit on the expensive side for ramen, however the flavour is right. Great stock and I love the different options available, which will make every visit a new experience. I had the black garlic soup with a rich, smoky, deep flavour. My wife the citrus version with a touch of heat. Excellent ramen. Will be back for sure.
Had both the tonkatsu and miso tonkatsu. While the normal was beautiful, the miso was a little salty (ticked normal for everything).
Normal pork belly was worth the extra $1
Free extra noodles was a nice touch. BEWARE the shortage of broth though. Didn't try to ask for more, was quite full. But if it where my first and only bowl, the broth would have definitely been lacking.
Staff where really nice. Should have given us a bottle of water. Only half glass at the start: (had to ask for more when realised refills where not coming
This is a traditional ramen place (ie pork ramen) with very customisable ordering, like soup additions, oil level, noodle soft or extra firm =wow! There are other items on the menu too, eg chicken karaage and katsu, and it's good quality.
I had a ramen and a chicken karaage. Very happy with both. Some extra noodles is a no cost option if I recall correctly.
Smart decor plus a Japanese style seating area too, but sitting cross-legged in that area is optional. I feel that the staff here want their customers to be served and pleased and I certainly left happy.
I love this new ramen joint! Close to my work place! The ramen broth is rich and flavoursome! Staff are really nice and friendly!
