Just had a Father’s Day Breakfast box.for lunch.was absolutely fabulous. Thank you to the talented
People who put this all together. Can’t wait for normality to kick back in so we as a family can come and experience your amazing cafe in person.

Came for breakfast last weekend. Food was confusing in rating wise for me. I got the Benedict where the hollandaise sauce was yummmyy but the rest of the dish was nothing special. It looks really pretty and they put a lot of effort into the dish but honestly the pork belly was disappointingly. The hot chocolate was really nice but they gave a meringue rather than a marshmallow which is kind of illegal. Na it was good. Service was quick and efficient. Atmosphere was really pretty. Portion size is pretty freaking small though

The food here is delicious (specially love the kids and adult boards for brekky and rainbow pancakes) but I cannot over look the poor table service at the hydrant anymore. With young kids the wait time can be difficult as they get easily bored and inpatient. Coffees came out after our food did. Staff all seem friendly but their time management needs improving.

Amazing breakfast here especially if you have kids. The venue is bright and welcoming and so is the staff. The rainbow pancakes were a hit with my son and my spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast boards. We were so impressed that we stopped past again today for some takeaway salads and a kids breakfast box for lunch on our way home. Make sure you take advantage of their online ordering for takeaway as they will run it out to the car for you when you arrive to pick up. Great food and service! We’ll be sure to return whenever we’re in Ballarat.

Food A1. Staff a little off. Bit cold inside. Give the iced chocolate a miss. Breakfast menu a win. Loved the toilet colours.lol

The atmosphere and vibe of Hydrant Food Hall is the place you want to be in the Morning for breakfast. Very aesthetically beautiful Cafe to sit down and eat a delicious meal. The Breakfast Board is exactly what you need if you have a big day ahead of you! You're satisfying all the different kinds of breakfast taste buds you have. Savoury, sweet, healthy but with a cheeky little almond croissant at the end, it's like a dessert for your breakfast! The refreshment juice is exactly as it's called, refreshing! Beautifully cooked smashed avocado taster with a feta cheese that makes the whole meal. Fresh fruit and Granola so delicious. 9/10 will visit and eat again!

Lovely spot that feels like a Melbourne cafe. Great service, coffee and good. All part of the transformation of Ballarat!

Service is the main detriment of coming here. When we came in for breakfast we needed to ask for water, cutlery and finally sugar for a coffee, all separately. Each of which took an extraordinary amount of time to be brought to us as the staff seem to be all over the place. The coffee itself is subpar and usually bitter. The only redeeming feature is the food which very high quality and tasty, despite being overpriced. Do yourself a favour and go around the corner to Fika instead.

The big breakfast is BIG!
Make a reservation for the weekend because the place is absolutely packed. The team were able to seat to of us so we didn’t miss out on a Sunday as walk ins. For something different we had the croquettes for a brekkie entree and I had the banh mi board. I enjoyed the fillings but I think the bread could be improved from supermarket dinner rolls

Service was fast and friendly, first coffee was awesome, second was average, very inconsistent in colour and flavour. We had three meals. All the food looked pretty but was pretty bland in taste.

This is a great little find. The cauliflower salad was so good the pear jelly was a great touch. This was a master piece.

I love the decor and the feel of the building.

The food coming out of the kitchen looked spot on.

Will definitely be going back.

The food here is good, no question. The coffee is fine. The service could use a lot of work. I tried to support this place during and coming out of covid times and my god they make it difficult.
Every time I've gone there, a different thing makes the experience a little sour, and it really stems from the staff doing the absolute bare minimum or not actually trying to help me if they don't have to. I don't know if this is staff or management policy but it's really disheartening, and I always leave disappointed. Honestly I think I've given them enough chances by now. There are other places in Ballarat of equal quality that actually seem to want business, and I will be dining there from now on.

Recommended by the guys at the barbershop. Tricky to find, but worth the effort. Cool setting and layout. Wonderful, almost overwhelming, choices for breakfast or lunch. Creative combinations and well seasoned. Good coffee. Great enthusiastic service, lots of families and friends enjoying themselves.

Had brekkie this moring with the family. Avo on toast was brown and chilled, pancakes were burnt and the halved strawberry had mushy white bits. The juice was good and they offered a rufund for the pancakes.

Want Melbourne in Ballarat? Then you would give this 5 stars. I got all I asked for and quality was very good but couldn't make 5 stars

Benedict and sliders were delicious. Potato and chives waffle added a unique twist to the Benedict, fried chicken slider was perfectly crisp and the sweet potato crisps were not soggy. Staff are friendly and provide good service.
