We went for breakfast.
Ramon, Chiquelli and breakfast platter were good.
Eggs Benedict not as nice. Small dish for the price. Hash brown was a bit wet and thick. 2 eggs, 1/2 rasher bacon sitting on the hash brown.
Coffe was good.

Not family friendly at all. Staff made our table of 10 feel uncomfortable. Food wasn't bad but the atmosphere felt like we weren't accepted there. We all decided we weren't going back.

Sensational breakfast of a breakfast board! Little bit of everything was perfect. The coffee was fantastic. The indoors of the restaurant is bright, modern and so well decorated. It has a great vibe and we would definitely return.

Sat outside on a sunny late autumn day. Scrambled eggs made for a perfect start to a mother daughter shopping day. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will be back.

We selected this cafe after searching online for kid-friendly cafes in Ballarat. Unfortunately, I would not say this cafe is kid friendly. There is no kids menu. I ordered the chicken and chips for my kids and they didn't enjoy it at all. Lots of chicken and hardly any fries, they both said chicken wasn't nice. I asked wait staff if the tacos were spicy and they assured me the chilli sauce came on the side in a separate dish. This was not the case, there was a very spice sauce on the meat making it inedible for me personally. The chai latte was nice as were the milkshakes.

A great hidden spot in Ballarat, great for a get together, with decent service and good food.

Breakdown
Drink: I had the iced tea which was refreshing but tad too sweet for my liking, but what do you expect it is an iced tea with an American influence.

Food: I had the slider board which offered three sliders, chicken, beef and pork. The beef slider was very strong in flavour due to the tarragon sauce. The pork slider was nice just needed more sauce. Lastly was the chicken slider which juicy and tender and full of flavour. Although the sweet potato crisps is what I will come back for because they were so indulging

Vibe/Environment: Open kitchen/bar, fit into a refurbished warehouse

Service: The service itself was great and consistent, but I unfortunately overheard some staff tension that I did not want to hear (hope that is all sorted out)

Food is very average. Ordered a chilli dog and they were out of chilli dogs at 1PM. Ordered the beef tacos for $25 and it felt like a kids meal. Was definitely not worth $25.

We shared two dishes, both were delicious and beautifully presented. Fine service and coffee completed an enjoyable brunch.

My partner Daniel and I had our “engagement party/wedding reception” here. Elise was very easy to liaise with and I am very thankful that she allowed me to have other vendors set up for us decoration wise. The food was good, the drinks were great and the staff were amazing to deal with! Thank you Hydrant for making our night so magical xx Addie & Dan

Loved the food.
Loved the coffee.
Loved the service.
Loved the atmosphere.
Loved, loved, loved it.

The onnnlllyyyy thing which would make this better is if they had some space for kids. Potentially this was available pre COVID and if so then apologies, but love the open space. We were lucky that it was quiet when our toddler started to get restless so she could play a little bit.

Really lovely food, super prompt and friendly service. Very deserved of its reputation as one of Ballarat’s top dining venues.

Is actually a really nice little hide away spot to spend time with friends. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and the drinks were even better! Will be back! Check it out if you're up that side of town!

Great spot for a tasty meal. Inside and outside seating. Staff are friendly and efficient. Menu has plenty of good options. The atmosphere is lively and fresh. We ordered 3 meals and all were fresh and delicious, with twists on old favourites. Definitely good value for money with the serving sizes. Delicious fresh juice available as well, so perfect for Breakfast or Brunch. Highly recommend.

Sick and tired of the 10% weekend surcharge for nothing.
Then they want to 1.5% for cc.
Really?

Not just pretty, foods taste amazing. Good coffee to start, ice chai also big portion and delish with vanilla ice cream. The big pipe very fullfilling and all component well seasoned. The pesto scramble egg really goes well with dices capsicum (i wish they give me more of this). This place definetely a go. Also nice ambience, good service.

I pre ordered a breakfast box and was a little disappointed with the quantity for what I paid $49 for one orange juice, small container of fruit, 4 small egg and bacon sliders and one waffle with condiments as well as paid for an extra coffee. It was nice, however quantity was lacking.
