Hydrant Food Hall reviews
70The place looks great, the staff are polite - but the food (gnocchi) wasn't good- it was in fact inedible - possibly rotten. Very disappointing.
Amazing everything! We had a front seat view of everthing on the pass and it was just torture cause I just don't have the stomach space to eat it all!
Very accommodating for allergies, beautiful presentation, great service and delicious food
Food was good, coffee was great. Had to wait over an hour for food. Place was half full at the time. Only bought 2 Breakfast Muffins and an Eggs Benedict.
The place is good.but they introduced ordering via QR code and they push you to do it. The whole purpose to go there is to relax and enjoy the time but they stress out with finding your items, adding to order and entering your bank card for payment! Waste of time that you should spend with your company! I think they should not compromise the quality of time spent there for reducing cost and collecting your data!
The description Food Hall doesn't really represent Hydrant. It's a modern, comfortable cafe with fireplace, a bar and a kitchen. The coffee is excellent, with thought and quality beans behind it. Service was warm, welcoming and efficient. Want to make a small adjustment to your machiatto, we'd love to. I'm so glad we found Hydrant in Ballarat.
It’s definitely a must-try brunch place in Ballarat! The ambience is cozy and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had the chili scramble egg which the croissant is crispy and the scramble egg is just smooth and tasty. The chili oil and sour cream are perfect match for the scramble egg. The egg benedict is also incredible. I really love the crunchy hash brown that replaces the usual toast.
Service great. Food very nice. After paying by credit card and unfortunately not taking the receipt I realised I paid a decent size credit card surcharge or some other surcharge. I did not see anything displayed saying this was going to be the case. Staff at least should have advised us giving the option to pay cash. This situation is not clear and transparent for the paying customer. In the current environment people should know what they’re going to pay upfront.
Lovely food. Very tasty and different. Took the family during our holiday in Ballarat. Everyone loved it. Nice interior to renovated building.
Came here after rush hour and was able to get served immediately.
Decor and vibe was very nice, staff were attentive & pleasant.
Good to see some Daylesford mineral waters on the menu and coffee was good.
Ordered the Eggs Benny, didn’t read the menu and was surprised to receive eggs on a super thick hash brown. Not a big fan of too many changes to an Eggs Benny but was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked. Ham hock was replaced with mortadella, not a big chunky hock. Personally I prefer a thin hock, so this substitute worked for me. It worked well with the Hash Brown which otherwise would have been too much. A big hock can sometimes ruin it. Eggs poached well, pickled cabbage worked well. Hollandaise was as expected but just a tad too much of it, as a personal preference. I plan to order this again next time, and just ask for hollandaise on the side.
Bruschetta was a good medley of favourites, decent, definitely need the chorizo. Bright, tomatoes definitely made it fresh. Hard not to say you could make at home…. Not a deal breaker though, and not disappointing. Definitely coming back for something else.
Called in for a Morning Coffee. Got what I ordered with help from the waitress. Very happy. Can't say anything about the food as did not eat.
Great place that’s hidden down the alleyway. Customer service is amazing. Great vibe. Extremely kid friendly. Great ice chai!
Very different. Great service and an interesting menu. Dishes were beautifully presented. Had the trio of burgers.
Went here for breakfast. Everything was fantastic - good, service and prices. A real hidden gem.
Holy cow! That was literally 11/10
I have had some good brunches but this place was hands down the best. From the pleasant staff, to the delicious coffee but the fooooood. Wow the food.
Should have taken photos but my goodness, just wanted it to get in my belly
This place is a little tucked away but do yourself a favour and visit it. Outstanding!
Absolutely the best food I've had in town. Plates are as good as anything I've seen anywhere and the service + atmosphere is perfect.
Had lunch here yesterday, friendly staff, speedy service & the food was so delicious Highly recommend.
The sliders where amazing! Thanks again for adding even more joy to my day out. Will be back when in Ballarat next.
OMG Divine the food was beautiful the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and most definitely will be back next time we're inthe area.
My favourite thing is the rainbow pancakes. It has 5 mini rainbow pancakes stacked like. And it has all the toppings on the plate so you can pick them up as you choose. Amazing 9/10. Point deducted because the pancakes are too small
A hidden gem in the laneway off Armstrong Street. Great food, friendly staff, spacious with high ceilings.
