Hotham Alpine Resort reviews
74Visited in July, 2023. One day trip with family, got an infringement for $192 by not paying entry fee. Never see any signs or being told to. Not paying for sure and not coming back.
They have an amazing range of terrain for all different skill levels, but there is a lack of activities on mountain for people who aren't skiing or snowboarding.
An alternate skiing resort to Swiss Alps and as beautiful of up to standard. Much cheaper facilities comparing to Europe.
We had William all the way from Canada for our beginners snowboarding lesson, and we had an absolute ball! Thanks so much for your handy tips and tricks. We highly recommend William for your lessons!
Cool little place for the Price! Has everything you need, little old looking but does the job!
Everything was really good apart from the staff at the ski lifts were so rude.they told me to hurry up and move.pushed me as i began to tell them im a first timer. As they did it In such a rude tone
If you after toboggan don’t waste your time Mt Hotham Center just go straight away parking 12 which is located after central from coming Melb.
Otherwise best place for Ski
Great terrain and really helpful staff who seem to be having a great time. So not as annoying as Perisher.
We were driving through enroute to Dinner Plain. Hotham Alpine Resort was very quiet post the 2022 snow season. A few cars were parked here and there.
Middle quality ski resort facility with premium pricing.
I can't comprehend how it's cheaper to fly to New Zealand and get accommodation, ski hire and meals for a week with a 4 star experience when it costs more just to access the mountain and lift passes here for a week
Wow. Kids loved the lessons. Grown ups loved the runs. Everything was super convenient. Stores were very helpful (especially at Base n Edge). Meals were easy to find. Could do with more shuttle buses but overall, a great experience.
90% of staff have poor attitude and consider your presence an inconvenience to their day.
All throughout the resort (bars, accommodation, lifts, and catering)
Iv travelled all over the world and unfortunately find my own country to be one of the most unreceptive to paying guests. Mayby the pandemic has affected the general labour attitude.
Snow and runs were alright for the outback. Markers and trails maintained.
Absolutely awesome. Except the price. Staff everywhere there are fantastic and more than happy to help
A bit dated compared to Falls Creek but everything you need in a Alpine Resort.
The staff aren't as lively as Falls Creek but they are good at their job.
Hotham is definitely for the more advanced skiers as the jump from Greens to blues is quite large.
There was fresh snow when we visited the resort. The hotham center can host a soup counter, it would be great to have a hot soup after a ski or snow play
Brilliant views all around and loads of hiking trails. Went there to experience a cold Christmas and with less crowded trails during summer the place is fab.
Nice mountain. However, the parking is not very convenient. We had to walk a long way, in ski boots, to get to the shuttle bus.
Mount Hotham is one of Australia's major ski resorts, located in the Victorian Alps of the Great Dividing Range, in the Australian state of Victoria. The mountain is located approximately 357 kilometres north east of Melbourne, 746 kilometres from Sydney, and 997 kilometres from Adelaide by road
Overall a great resort, we had a alot of fun skiing and enjoying the absolutely breathtaking views from the summit. The only reason I've given 3 stars is because the staff at one of the restaurants we went to was racist as he was very rude with his attitude towards us only to be friendly with other customers. Apart from this minor setback, overall a great place to visit.
