Wow, amazing, what an experience. Good service and really good KBBQ. Generous portions and the Japchae actually has flavour.

I can recommend this place to anyone with asthma and still wants to experience meat cooked before their eyes. The charcoal cooling system that is used here emits minimal smoke (if any) and cooks meat very evenly.
Staff are happy to help and explain how KBBQ work if it's your first time and ensure you have a great experience.
Definitely book ahead (during covid or not) to ensure a good time. I know I'll be making a booking.

Food was amazing. A different korean bbq top that I found was an amazing idea of draining fat. Staff are super friendly. Pricey though, but worth the experience

Requested the dessert menu and was told there was "no time for dessert" with over 30 minutes remaining of the booking. They do not have any take away boxes/containers for desserts, as an alternative. Manager was very nonchalant and dismissive after expressing disappointment in the entire evening. Would not recommend.

Great place, highly recommend the Seoul Taster was so good. It’s pork belly, wagyu beef and marinated beef ribs and two dipping sauces (like a soy and a chilli one)

Had an excellent dinner at Hinoak. Our table of 10 ordered 2 sets along with a bunch of sides which were all cooked perfectly & tasted delicious. Staff were friendly & attentive. Would highly recommend for any special occasion.

Very happy with my experience at Hinoak! Visited for the first time today with 3 friends and we really enjoyed the good quality food and atmosphere. Nice presentation of the food as well. We were most impressed by the fantastic customer service - all the staff that helped cooked meat and so on were extremely friendly and helpful. Knew what they were talking about in regards to cooking the meat. Would happily come back.

THEY booked us at 8: 40, but then told us the kitchen closed at 9. It would have been nice to know before we booked!
The portions were small and not great. The waiters were too busy flirting with each other to cook our meals. And the music was loud, we couldn't hear each other. And they basically kicked us out by 10 when the restaurant closes at 11. All around bad experience!

With its one of a kind grill system, gorgeous interior and well trained staff Hinoak is a great spot in Glen Waverly to satisfy your korean bbq desires.

Enjoyed the side dishes and ordered the seafood pancakes and Japchae to go along with our main meal of assorted meats from steak to pork belly.

The system is fun to watch in action and if you don't mind the timers ringing every couple minutes the place has an excellent ambience to it.

*Protip: after staff finish cooking either take the meat away onto your dishes or move the rack away from the heat to avoid your food over cooking.

I am giving you a true feedback. I feel extra hurt because I highly recommended this restaurant to my friend and end up making everyone feel sad.

We got the Seoul Taster, the bulgogi, the "KFC chicken" and the soju tasting paddle. AMAZING! Filled us up.their grill system is awesome and the meat was delicious.

Bad experience, we make a booking on 6 pm, the staff told us that we have to finish our dinner at 7.30 pm. We thought should be fine.because one and half hour is enough for us.after we ordered, wait so long until 6.40 pm, they gave us the food.we ate very hurry. On 7.30 pm sharp, The Indian girl said we had to leave. This is the worst service I ever had. The Indian girl was so rude.

Seated promptly. Attentive staff. Succulent meat. Excellent service. Cosy, modern decor. Really couldn't fault it.

Amazing high end place for Korean BBQ - the staff are great and the food is high quality. The grills here use charcoal and the food is modern ish. So it's very much good for those of your friends who are a little less adventurous.
