A great korean venues that has a variety of different cuts of quality meats and dishes to choose from.

The venue is dimmed to give a nice ambient feeling with seating spaced out throughout the restraunt.

Staff members use timers whilst the meat cooks which is fantastic as this ensures the meat is perfectly cooked and let's staff know when the meat should be taken off the grill (a very well thought out process and kudos to the restraraunt for thinking about this. Too many times I've been to korean venues where staff cook the meat and it's either undercooked, slightly charred or intervention is required by patrons to cook it themselves).

Staff are friendly and a big shout out to Tri (apologies if I spelt the name wrong) who was friendly and attentive.

Jasmines service was amazing, she was friendly and could tell she enjoyed being there. Food was superb, fast efficient and although they were busy the waiters were very attentive. Will be back.

Place is good. We have BBQ, but quantity wasn't enough and kitchen closed around 8.30pm instead of 9.30pm.therefore we end up little bit hungry.

Great food & the best restaurant service experienced around. Such attentive, skilful & friendly staff. Will be going here again.

What a great experience at Hinoak. Been to a few KBBQs and this one is a definitely a rare gem with a unique experience. Staff service, quality of meats and good serving sizes. The KBBQ to go to if you're craving Korean and a good atmosphere!

First time I've had Korean BBQ so I am by no means any sort of expert but I thought the food provided was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to any carnivores out there!

My go-to Korean BBQ place. Do try the Wagyu (and marinated beef ribs) and you'll know (or rather, taste) why it's worth the price. But personally, the main reason that tick the box is that 1) the meat is cooked vertically in between 2 charcoal slabs that is slotted into the table, that leads to point #2. They use special charcoal that produces less smoke. ->>> So your colleagues won't know you've been to Korean BBQ the nx day by the smell of your hair or clothes, unlike the other Korean BBQ restaurants.
Probably that's why the place is always packed so you'll most definitely need to book at least a day in advance (with help from lady luck) on weekdays. No chance rocking up on Fridays or weekends without booking few days in advance.

Food tasted a little better than average but pricey.
There was “1.5 hrs time pressure” so it’s definitely NO-NO if you don’t want your night to be ruined. Would not recommend.

Overall a great experience. The meat was excellent quality and cooked at the table by the super friendly wait staff. Everything was explained clearly for us first-timers.

For the bbq set, our wagyu meat was very tender and excellent quality - the scotch fillet being the star. The staff work as a team and definitely did not let the meat overcook if a table was unattended by another team member. It is premium service for a premium price.

The rest of our food was also great quality and redeemed the 'value' of this experience.

We felt a little cramped at our table. But we managed.

In the end, our whole group was very happy with the way Hinoak did things.

The Korean BBQ experience that is worth the asking price.
The meat quality is the most important part of a good Korean BBQ, and this place does not disappoint. The cuts are premium and the taste is exquisite. The best is probably the pork and the beef ribs marinated in sauce.
The food is cooked vertically as there are two charcoal slabs put into the table vertically. This means the meat is cooked evenly on both sides with a timer to precisely control the cooking process. The waiters will come to your table to cook AND cut the meats so you can simply eat bite sized pieces without any hassle.
The side dishes are pretty good too, the mum’s beef and mushroom hotpot provided excellent soup that is so flavourful it is arguably more delicious than the beef in the soup. Highly recommended.
The only issue i found when I visited was the staff being worked quite hard as they have to cook and cut all the BBQ table side and that means hectic pace of service. There were some water on the ground when I sat down and a waiter spilt some soup as they were trying to bring out the hotpot. This was on a Wednesday night so it will probably be a lot more hectic on a weekend. Don’t get me wrong, the waiters are very polite and professional but the working environment they are in means inevitably something might go wrong. That is my only complaint.
Overall I would definitely go back again, perhaps finding a less busy time but it is always packed full it seems. It is an experience and worth the high cost of entry.

Long overdue review. Can't wait for the lockdown to lift to go back. Definitely the best korean bbq place in town. Top quality wagyu beef. 5star!

Food was fine. Meat was alright. Fried chicken was sick. Problem started 5 mins in when they asked if we were ready to order and we asked for 2 more mins to decide. “Your booking is one and a half hours so you need to order quickly”. Like seriously? Then, kid you not, 3 more times it was mentioned how much time we had left or that we were running out of time. They came over and said they had to pull the current meat out of the charcoal early so they could start the next. You, my friends, were running out of time. Not us. I get the whole 1.5 hour bookings because covid social distance to make up the numbers but i been here before covid was a thing and they have not changed their table set up at all. Still cramming people side by side.so why the 1.5 hours if you fitting the same people? Cash grab if u ask me. Well youre a korean bbq joint that cooks pieces of meat one at a time 1.5 hours aint enough time for you let alone the people to eat and enjoy. Also wanted to hve a few more drinks. No time. Wanted desert. No time and either dont sit people next to the constantly opening front door in winter or warn them when they booking. Had to keep the puffy jacket on the whole dinner. Wont be comin back to these money hungry annoying dudes out of principle. Seriously the dominating topic at the table was how long we had left. No fun. Ended up cruisin up to the mexican place on the main strip of glenny. Asked if we could grab a table for drinks and desert. No problem. No rush. No drainers. Laters losers

Love the food! Very reasonably priced and the service is top notch. Will definitely come back again!

On the pricey side. Just go to a regular kbbq joint for better value. Our meats were a little overcooked and the place is a tad loud for conversation.

Come here if you want to share your table with 4 strangers and find out their life stories. Wouldn't even let us change tables.

Been here many times now, one of my favourite Korean style BBQ restaurants. Food is cooked on the table in front of you but by staff so no need to cook it yourself. The staff are very attentive and friendly, and the food is incredibly good.

Really lovely night, fabulous customer service, yummy food and the best kimchi l have ever tasted. All the staff were amazing! Not an easy job but was made to look seamless and effortless! Two thumbs way up high! If you are looking to try Korean food this is a place to check out!
