My CSM Nieuport XXIII was posted the next day. Hearns customer service and dedication to modellers and hobbyists is awesome. And so happy to support an Aussie business! Highly recommended.

Today was the first time I had set foot inside Hearn's for about 30 years following a long break from the hobby.
I received an email from them yesterday advising me of a restock of 3 models previously out of stock. I made a specific trip to the store for the sole purpose of buying said items only to find out not one was available & that the staff there, specifically Warwick, didn't have a clue what was going on. Just as well I kept the emails as proof otherwise I get the feeling I would've been made out to be fool.
Also, please be 100% clear that despite having a Medical Exemption from having to wear a mask, Warwick will insist that you wear one because Hearn's is private property. This the ONLY place I have been refused my Exemption during the pandemic.

The prices for the specific items I bought were very good (Hearns are usually a little more expensive than other companies I buy from). The join up discount was welcome, communication from the company was excellent and my goods arrived very promptly.and thoughtfully and carefully packed.
Overall, Hearns is a company with a long history in the hobby and I admire their commitment and enthusiasm.

In the short time I have been coming here {about two months} Hearns have been very helpful. The products are also of the highest quality.

True to their well defined order handling times, fast dispatch, in my case next business day delivery from Melbourne to Sydney metro, great prices, careful packaging and great communication, what else can a customer ask for.

Hearns is a real treasure having been in operation for over seven decades and in a charming basement location in the city.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff.

My decrepit father speaks fondly of coming here in the late 1960s and buying AMT muscle car kits and tube glue, think he still has the '69 Corvette.

I have been coming here since 2005 and have bought many kits, paints and an air compressor.

My tastes lean to hardcore Japanese mecha (no Gundam please) so I love that Hearns stocks Maschinen Krieger model kits!

Ordered a Wave 1/20 Friedrich online and it arrived quickly and well packed. Looking forward to building it on a fun SciFi Sunday (SF3D get it).

Thanks Dennis for all your help fixing up our Tamiya RC cars.

Totally recommend Hearn’s Hobbies for purchase and advice on RC cars. We really appreciate the knowledge and after sales support. It’s the reason I bought from a store front not online.

The downstairs dungeonous housing of this shop is showing its age with not much organisation, staff are happy to help and they offer their own 3d printed bits that are much better quality than the gsw printed ones, I was hoping they would have a greater selection of plasticard shapes and more gsw moulds, though not a dealbreaker.prices are as you would expect, you aren't going to find a bargain.

I would give 0 if this works.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I've ordered a set of tires, they've sent the wrong ones.
THEY WERE LABELLED INCORRECTLY.
Hence I've opened them and saw the mess.
Sent them back immediately, they confirmed they'd received them.
THEN Sandy played games and tried to tell me I can't get my money back.
Took me a long time with PayPal to get my money back.
NEVER AGAIN

Terrible customer service like pulling teeth to get any email response have been trying for weeks now! Poor advertising - bought a figure (from a predominantly miniature shop by a predominantly miniature brand under “model railway figurines”) thinking it was miniature and with no description at all with sizing there was nothing to confirm with and I ended up with a 10cm kangaroo that I haven’t even opened but apparently it’s “change of mind” so I have to pay to ship it back to possibly get a store credit which I will then have to pay the shipping for that so big waste of money don’t shop here! Apparently “when sizing is not stated no assumptions should be made” - sandy. Also not sure how they have a good rating with all their terrible reviews

Response 17/3 wow do you have that many bad experiences that you can’t work out which I’m talking about? Order HM2822

I received very poor customer service from this business. I went to their website and ordered and paid for a model aircraft for my daughter. Soon after I received an email -
1. It said she had tried to call me - which she hadn't
2. She asked where I had found the 'ad' - when she already knew that the hobby man website had the wrong price on it and that the price issue had quickly been rectified back to $70 before she emailed me. Therefore she could have just admitted that it was a mistake and that the store policy is not to honour prices if they are a mistake.
3. The business provided no offer to assist me with the matter - this would have been a great opportunity to offer 10% discount or similar to assist with the stuff around they had caused and I probably would have accepted.
4. Then I received an email to say they will complete my refund 'in a few days'!
When I asked as to why it would take 'a few days' to process my refund I have had NO REPLY!
Very poor customer service and I would not recommend dealing with this business.

Lots of different brands of models - staff enthusiastic - Shelves a bit cluttered with no real order but thats due to the number of models they stock

Good but not the best in town. Sometimes doesnt have what im looking for, but otherwise the shop is Alright. Another place that I go to always has what Im looking for and at a cheaper price.plus I don't have to go into the city every time I want to buy something. Last thing, the website search is horrible, I typed armoured car, and crewmen for vehicles came up, but no armoured cars.

Walked in and couldn't keep staring so many amazing kits and tools. Got great advice on buying a compressor and spray gun as well as an in depth explanation on which paints to buy and how to clean my tools after use. And what to not do and do.can't wait to get started. I also may have gotten the wrong air hose for the compressor/air gun it has two different sizes but not a huge issue. They apperently have the 1/8 instead of 1/4 I think on the compressor so gotta get an adapter the model is the AF186
