Will never deal with Thomastown branch, waited 2 weeks to get a morning delivery only to be told that the delivery will be 12-3pm after many phone calls to the store and the delivery drivers, mind you we had to make all these call. Never again, will go back to HN Broadmeadows. Terrible service

Harvey Norman Thomastown has really bad customer service! Yesterday I went in for a washing machine and literally there was heaps of staff just walking around not wanting to help me out and that was for nearly an hour! I would tell everyone to go shop somewhere else instead of this place! I think the boss needs to have a review for the staff in the washing machine area! That was straight trash, at least make customers feel welcome bruv! Shout out to Dave and Steve the only good workers in that department

The employees and manager were extremely helpful and professional - they're not at fault, they are amazing at what they do.

The problem lies with the fact that I was refused the discount I was promised by higher management today, yesterday I was promised a specific discounted price and I thought I had time to do some research as I was promised, since the purchase was thousands of dollars I wanted to make the right decision - I was never told about the expiry, 9 hours later the price changed.

Management apparently said that it's "impossible" giving zero leeway to resolve the problem despite the fact that we've been loyal customer at this store for years and spent over 15 thousand dollars on furniture etc.it was "impossible"

I then called jb hifi and told them about my experience with Harvey norman and immediately they offer me the same discounted amount, today I'll be purchasing from jb hifi because of their leniency and for achieving the "impossible"

Other than that, the staff and manager at the store were brilliant, they invested an enormous amount of time explaining each and every product and they were patient which I appreciated.

Lack of leniency and my time being wasted is what's unfortunate - especially after being a loyal customer for so many years.

Certain departments will not answer calls, and when they do they can not check stock levels on the computer. Requested that I must drive to the store to see stock levels.

We moved to Melbourne 2 weeks ago and we needed furnitures and beddings. Mary the beautiful and kind lady gave us the best deals and gave us a wide range of options to choose from. This is the second time they have refused to match the price for me. If you cant do it why would you say it this boldly. This time the excuse at thomastown store was it is not in stock anywhere else and if you order it, it ll go in backorder. Despite of me explaining to the staff that i am a catch customer for a very long time and they do not advertise if something is not in stock, but he was reluctant and talked to me like I do not know what I am saying. I just wanted to take it home with me otherwise I prefer online. I ordered it straight away. Fingers crossed though. Update- order has been dispached for fh 1396. So next time you try and make a fool of someone and bieng rude at the same time, think twice. Time wasters.

Knowledgeable staff that try their hardest to get the right product for potential customers. They truly consider the customer's needs and won't sell them something that isn't suitable to their needs.

Great experience with Black Friday specials on the LG C1 TV. Service was great as well as the experience with delivery and installer. Highly recommend.

Worst customer service especially Tom from furniture department he lies sells products which he has no knowledge of and denies his lies beware stay away from this Tom guy who is manager apparently disappointing to see people with low level character working in such place.

Terrible experience - one of the sales guys (forget his name but he had terrible dandruff) would let me bypass the 30 odd people in the waiting list for a ps5, only if I paid $109 for additional product care.

I ended up getting one from Harvey Norman Chirnside Park on the same day with no such issue.

I wouldn’t recommend this store, the sales staff seem dodgy.

A great place to shop for quality furniture. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of outdoor parking. I purchased some office chairs and may buy a bed very shortly to take advantage of the current 50% sale.

Good furniture collection but needs to improve the appliances collection, I was serviced by DavidT (Furniture Dept) apprecaite his 5star service he could manage the delivery and payment during the Covid lockdowns, I was paying using vouchers and none other sales person took this form of payment over phone and asked me to come to store, David remained calm and coordinated well for the entire period.

I would expect all the staff is trained to accept payments via voucher over phone, seems its too much of work to type the long voucher codes in
system!

Appliances section need to have bigger collection, only limited options available, I was asked to pick the item from nearby warehouse later found that its not present in the warehouse too, had to wait 40mins to learn this, but HN then did a free delivery to my home. So all good on that front.

Staff was not aware of the installation costs (dishwasher) when enquired over phone, these costs are printed and displayed all over the appliance section though.
