Harvey Norman Melbourne City reviews
78Worst Harvey Norman in Melbourne. The proprietor Zel treats her staff very poorly I would avoid this store at all costs!
Store isn't very nicely presented and staff were chatting to each other rather than offering to help customers.
Quick service, and good customer service. Not much else to ask. Hard to find the shop the first time though.
I was shopping for some massager, my kid and father in law sitting at their furniture section as they not interested in shopping, this guy Boris told them off, saying this is not a waiting area and is a shop policy you cant sit at the couch to wait for someone, really bad service, I will never walk into this store and buying anything there again.
We bought an Acer Predator Monitor from this store and we were served by Matthew. Matthew was very helpful and assisted us with wheeling the massive screen to our car as well as loading it in the car.
Thank you Matthew for your fantastic service.
I just bought a kettle at this store this afternoon. The staff with dark short hair named Kelly was so rude to us when answering the questions we politely asked. We would not come back.
A bit funny to get to but the staff there are very helpful. Got a good deal there too, thanks to black Friday deals.
After quite some time to find item I wanted I was told I could pay for it but couldn't take it until the following day because they were 'in stocktake'. A sign might have been good.
The fact that I could pay for something and not receive it was painted as a positive, but I was there to purchase and walk away with the item. I'm demanding like that.
They have exclusive rights to sell high quality products which are not available at other shops. They also provide reasonable deals if items are purchased in bulk.
Harvey Norman has a great collection of electronic items along with furniture. They also have great prices.
Ordered a fridge and a washing machine in store for my mother who doesn’t speak English, was told by the salesman that he could offer her a discount for the washing machine, which appeared to be true at first. My mother was satisfied until I found out that he simply ordered the washing machine for me online which somehow was priced lower online than in store, giving an “illusion” that he offreded her a discount. There were 3 of us there, and 2 of us who heard him saying that it was “cheaper” ordering from him. Could simply be misunderstanding, but disappointed nonetheless. I wasn’t forcing him to offer my mother a discount, my mother simply asked if there is any multi buy discount since she was planning to buy all the appliances in that store? He could’ve said if there isn’t any available at the moment, instead of telling her that it was discounted when nothing was.
For the fridge, he didn’t say there could be a discount so it’s all good, but they didn’t have it in store so they had to order it from elsewhere and would take at least 7 days for delivery on top of the time of delivery from Japan if there isn’t any in stock.
But then thanks to the internet, I found that other stores offered FREE next day delivery at a MUCH lower price point ($300 less). Naive me, should’ve checked beforehand.
Not exceptionally good service either so I cannot convince myself that my mother was paying for the premium service. Both me and my mother were extremely disappointed.
Has a good selection of computer and IT stuff:)
service is patchy - some staff are excellent and go to great length to explain / compare, while others seem intent simply on selling you anything.
They generally have stock in store so there isnt a wait to get your goods.
Its attached to the Domayne store which has some interesting furniture - especially for city apartments
September 2018 update:
The store has great advice on homewares, electronics and furniture (via the Domayne Store within the complex).
Service has jumped a notch and is now very good. Its my go-to store for electrical goods, TV and audio plus home security
Staff were helpful. Great Harvey Norman. Kitchen area very small compared to rest of store, but I'm sure there's reason for that
I simply wanted to highlight in this review the exceptional customer service I received from Kelly at this store, made my purchase very simple and pleasant.
Purchased many products, staff always well informed and prepared to answer, have not regretted any purchases.
Useless Customer service is useless. I bought a laptop altogether have been there 6 times now. Finally they sent my laptop to get repair. And still saying if issue is not fixed still not sure if they can give me a refund.
What kind of hopeless custermer service is this? It is my time that i am waist because of your terrible service. And what's the point of so called product care?
Once you ask for refund they talk like they have paid me money. Just useless.
Good store and variety but in store staff isn't very friendly and would just try to sell you stuff. Store needs to improve on customer service.
It seems to be hidden behind a bed shop (at least that's how I was able to get in) and the store itself seems pretty depressing, staff don't really care.
