Pushy, only cares about making commission from your purchase. After you fork out the money, they just don't care anymore

No centralised customer service which means the line keeps transferring everywhere even when you just want to ask a simple question. Waste of time and horrible customer service

Michael was great, helped me choose the washing machine and I had a lot of questions and he was very helpful. Not very happy with one of the older lady in the store where she worked at the appliances area. I was checking the outer box of the coffee machine (I have already paid for it), and she came up to me and said I cannot touch the box.i was quite offended by her given that I have paid the machine with Michael together with my washing machine. She should have asked me if I was needing any help rather than coming up to me and told me not to touch the box. Very rude and very condescending. She also said to me she didn't want me to pick up the box and walk away and I have explained to her twice that I have already paid the machine. Unbelievable. Really hate the fact that someone would just assume that I would take the box away other than simply just ask me if I need any assistance.

The franchise manager of this store denied me a refund for a faulty cable because they couldn’t replicate the issue in the store. Despite his employee promising me a refund if it’s faulty after I referred to terrible reviews on their website about this cable. The manager just said that I shouldn’t have bought it in the first place and just refused to have a look at the reviews I kept telling him about, which is insane, basically saying I can’t trust his employees.

I work in retail myself and this was a horrible impression and I was really disappointed that someone in a position like that are so clueless about customer service 2022. It’s just not how it works anymore mate, you should be able to trust sales reps.

After 15 minute of intensive argument, he decided to return the cable. But he did it with a bad attitude all the way through.

All this for a cable and obviously loosing a customer forever. Very embarrassing.

Go to JB-Hifi, they understand customer service as it is 2022. They would never do this

I have been shopping here for electrical appliances over several years. In the event of an appliance operating poorly or not as described, I have had no issue in obtaining a refund for this product. All my interactions with staff members have been positive. Appliance operations & functions have been explained to me clearly as staff members at this store seem to be quite knowledgeable. I think the store layout is easy to manouvere around & is well presented. I look forward to revisiting in the future.

Worst experience of a big retail store in Australia!

I purchased a camera lens, I was just not happy with it and decided to return it and get a refund. I returned the lens - which was just mounted on the camera once to check the features - in less than 24 hours from when I purchased it. But they said they cannot process a full refund. They said I can either buy something else the same amount, or get 80% of the lens purchase price! They said this is because the package was opened. I said there was no tape on the box or on any of the inside bags, they confirmed and said they never use tapes on these boxes! It’s funny, on the one hand they say these boxes have no tapes or sealing whatsoever, on the other hand they say the box is opened and because of that they cannot refund the full amount!

Anyways I highly recommend you don’t buy from Harvey Norman, unless you’re 200% sure about what you are going to buy! You can simply buy from similar stores, probably for a cheaper price and with a guaranteed change of mind policy!

I had yu from harvey norman help me out with purchasing a pc monitor, he was so helpful and didn’t make me feel dumb at all! He also carried it all the way down stairs to my car for me which was so lovely. 10/0 experience couldn’t be more happy, thanks yu i hope you have a great day

Frankly, I am impressed! I ordered a coffee machine online (also the best price EVER) around 2pm during the lockdown.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. I called them in the morning and kindly the guy apologizes and checked it what was wrong but didn't fix the problem, so I got another one that works fine!

Great, friendly and professional staff at Harvey Norman. Thank you so much! Lots of coffee for me!

Rude customer service at the electrical/technology department.

I paid for same day click collect if placed before 4pm as they advertised but found out that my order was being reviewed/held for "security purpose" up to 48 hours even though they charged my card as soon as I made the payment.

Made it very hard to make any future purchases at Harvey Norman. I will pay a little bit extra for better shopping experience at JB HIFI next time.

Massive thanks to Sarah for all your help today when I needed it with the heater. You went above and beyond, even in your capacity as a store manager. If you don't get promoted off the back of such amazing customer service, I would frankly be disappointed with Harvey Norman.

A big Thankyou is due to the Appliance manager Ian and his colleague Aron T at the Melbourne city store. There customer service and professionalism exceeded our expectations. We had a fridge stop working and needed medicines urgently to be stored in fridge. They arranged a bar fridge to help us until a replacement fridge was approved. Thanku

Don’t buy from Harvey Norman, they received Jobkeeper when they profited and refuse to return it. Also cutting everyone’s shifts to the bare minimum while also making money more money is a joke.

Harvey Norman is alright! The only thing I don't like about them is when I've enquired about multi regional bluray and 4k players! They seem to be somewhat standoffish and unhelpful! They will make a bit of a fuss about it as well which puts me off wanting to get electrical goods from them!

Don't waste your money for 'product care' they gave wrong information to buy that, don't cover anything.
Most of Harvey Norman store doesn't keep their sales person only sell and run away. Harvey Norman do not take any responsibility that issues.

Harvey Norman in the city is an incredible huge store. A large plethra of goods and great customer service. I got the full run down of PCs by service employee Shivvy. (he was very insightful). Bonus you can play games on their PCs, fortnite, tetris. Another employee Hannah was very insightful. A great team for a little known store. More people should come here.
