Half Moon reviews
71A great pub and a Brighton institution. Restaurant serves great food. The main bar can get crowded but drinks get served pretty quickly.
Visited for a baby shower in the back room.
Extremely well run and one of the most attentive hosts running the bar which made it a great day.
Would definitely return and consider booking the back room for a function based on our experience.
Great place to catch-up with friends and colleagues after-work. Finger food is ok albeit a bit expensive. Ambiance is great to hang out.
Great local pub with various areas. Formal dining, casual dining, bars both upstairs and downstairs, open garden area. One of the best in the Brighton.
Good pub and the bar staff and waiting staff are great, however, the chef refuses to do slight modifications to dishes. I asked for a fried egg with my chicken parma and he refused to do it. This is the only place I have been refused this request ever.
This Chef needs to have an attitude adjustment because he is letting the venue down.
Changed the star review to 5 stars because management have addressed the issue. I am very happy with this place now.
Had a sit down dinner here, the steak was overcooked. Saving grace was the staff, nice and friendly. Won't be back to eat here.
Got expresso martinis. Tasted like dirt and sent them back, told that's what they they should tasted like, after some back and forth gave up. Food is tasty but service is screwed.
Had the pleasure of eating here for the first time this evening. We ordered so much food and everything was delicious. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks list. It was a chill evening however, warm and cosy inside. It's such a huge venue however still managed to feel like a small local establishment. We will most certainly be back soon.
We go to Half Moon often and it's typically a nice relaxed mature crowd, but it struck me last night that it's way too expensive for drinks. $23-25 for a wine and a beer is just ridiculous.
Went here for a Parma, and it was good tasting and fast service. On top of that we showed them their menu prices online where different than in store - and the honoured their online prices. TOP PUB
