WORST CAFE IN BRUNSWICK
If a bin fire was a cafe it would be Green Refectory - no joke, they can't get anything right here. The staff are rude and incapable of taking a correct order, the place is dirty, and the food tastes old and obviously isn't fresh. We waited 15 minutes for the wrong order, then received some soggy, wet sandwiches that we couldn't eat. Turns out they sold what we were waiting on to other customers, while we were waiting! Got a refund and left. Never again! Do yourself a favour and go to a local cafe that actually cares about their food, service, and their customers - Wide Open Road is a much better alternative nearby. Or try Ray's or Lobbs.

I love their Strawberry Sponge Cake which I have ordered multiple times and it always taste so good, light and fluffy I've bought some mini Pavlova this time too and I can't wait to try

Great food, especially the cake. And great value for money. Often a bit of a wait and can get very squishy when seated.

I love this place! All the food is affordable and tasty. I always recommend and take family and friends to Greens!

We catered a small party and everyone loved the food. Plus we were glad to see that they take back the trays.

Awesome breakfast with many vegan and vegetarian options. Nice outdoor seating for small groups only. A beautiful cosy romantic place for an early morning breakfast for a couple. Coffee was amazing and so was the concept of baked egg.

High quality, very affordable and delicious coffee and food. Takeaway options awesome and dine in options so cheap but so good.

Great range of freshly baked pastries including good meat pies and quiches, lots of pre-wrapped sandwiches and salads to grab and go. Good spot for a quick lunch.

I ate a raspberry & rhubarb muffin here 2 or 3 years ago and I still think about it all the time. Before COVID I bought 4 and drove them 8 hours back to cbr that’s how good they were. Hope you still sell them

On the surface it looks like a nice quaint cafe, and on a less than busy day it is! However once the people start piling in this place becomes a disorganized nightmare sometimes. The layout of the cafe really is what confuses me, it's incredibly narrow and doesn't utilise it's space very well.
The food is nice however and the service is rather quick.
Would recommend going on a day when it isn't so busy.

I love the food but the service isn’t always the best. My food often comes damaged or in small proportions.

Great coffee and a very wide assortment of sandwiches, foccacias, pastries and sweets. Vego and vegan friendly but plenty of meat types for those of us who love it. Can be busy so call ahead. Most of the made to order wraps in mountain bread can get messy, so not a great takeaway option.

One of my favourite Cafes in Brunswick! So many veggie options and it always surprises me how affordable it is.

Not bad! I wanted to try this place as most times I've walked past and it looked busy. Purchased some food from the fridge and coffee. I prefer a smooth coffee but the one I had wasn't. Food was tasty! I think I will try the cakes next time.

Went to buy some savoury muffins that looked delicious. The price rung up on the cash register was very different to that on the sign in the window display. When I questioned that, the guy said they'd recently changed the prices. I stated that the price in the window was the same as before he said, " oh sticky fingers had probably rubbed out the new price". I just walked out and he yelled something at me. Dodgy as! What a pity they have such attitude and didn't honour the price clearly stated, as their cakes and muffins are great. I ain't got no time for that kind of disrespect towards customers.

Great food and coffee. Lots of vegan etc options. Very reasonable prices. Often very busy and limited seating most of the time.

Wow too much choice, the pies are amazing we had a vegetarian and OMG the flavours are great, we purchased four options and they all were great. We will be back for more, and such a line (fast moving) of locals coming back for more.

Great bakery and huge range of menu items. Can't wait to come back again! The only criticism I'd make is the lack of queue management and social distancing with such a popular cafe.
