Gradi at Crown

Very friendly staff. Lovely to hear them mixing languages as they speak. Have been here twice in a row and not disappointed. Pizza base was so thin and tasty. Pasta was light amd tasteful.

Yup.fully agree! Best pizza! Had the linguini with Napoli and another with white wine sauce. Both beautiful too! Made a special birthday mousse cake for my wife and son and made it extra special.

Very good but very pricey! I only had a martini and it cost me $34 but too much when not told prior when I ordered gin martini dirty. Probably won't go back because of that unless someone's is paying

The service here was shocking. We waited 15mins for someone to even welcome us and take our order, food came before drinks and we had to ask for the drinks to come. Not all the food came out and we had to ask for that, when it finally came we had finished our meals and it was greasy. When we complained we were told they had sick leave. When you are spending that much on a pizza I expect to have excellent service regardless of that.

Kevin deserves a pay rise. Whatever he is on, he deserves more. Best service I've ever had and I love me some service.

Food was solid. Drink options were great. Kevin was exceptional.

Some of the best Italian food I've tasted outside of Italy. Gradi offers everything I love in Italian food, including fresh chilli oil!
The atmosphere was buzzing but not too loud for conversation. My belly was so happy after the food. I tried the Margarita pizza and the gnocchi, and then tiramisu for dessert.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Prices may be a bit up there but the quality of the food is outstanding. From the meatballs to the olives and the pizzas and pastas, they just bang out every dish they serve. Been going here for a long time now and love it every time. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Must go if you visit Crown.

The service was outstanding! We came in with my friends 1 year old, they even took her out of the prom and I to the high-chair.the food was also delish. I loved the traditional carbonara!

The restaurant its self presents well and in good location but that's where the positives end. In our case the snack meals at crown would have been a better choice. My partner and I both ordered pasta meals at $35-$40 a plate. Sauce was bland, pasta not cooked through etc. Service lacked but there were plenty of staff around on the night we visited. I suggest they stop trying to Glam up and get back to basics which is good service and good food.

Staff were attentive and professional. However food was not that great. Will be returning to see if perhaps it was just a once off thing. Verdict is not out on this restaurant yet.tbc

Six of us stopped in for a midweek lunch. A waitress named Simmy. She ensured we had an amazing experience and some awesome food. Thanks again for a great lunch, we will definitely be back again.

Amazing food, wonderful service. The place is a must try while in Melbourne if you enjoy out of this world Italian food. Recommend the South Side Cocktail, the pizzas and desserts

Work did a lunch here and was advised they can cater for vegans. We did a banquet for the group. Whilst I was fed, some options was disappointing. Like a pizza with no tomato sauce and some vegetables put on top. And no dessert while everyone else had theirs. Cutting non-vegan ingredients out without replacing it with some flavor (or an entire course) is not great effort at offering vegan options for a place like 400 Gradi. You can do better! Garlic and olive oil with sliced tomatoes on the pizza. Or fruit for dessert would've been a better attempt and all ingredients you already have.

Good take o classic gradi from Lygon st. However gets very packed on occasion. Food however is on par with the original. Pizzas are one of the best in town

Booked for an 8.30 dinner, 17 ppl. Had booked for 19 but unfortunately 2 were unable to make it! It took 3 and 1/2 hours for a set menu to be served. We were eating our desert at midnight, after complaining for the last 45 minutes and all we were told was were we a large group and it will be out soon! Disappointed, at $65 a head the entree and mains were delicious and great sharing plates, the desert however was terrible, not sure how you expect 17 ppl to share 4 small wobbly deserts and a bit of cake! Such a terrible end to a night.and to top it off we were made to pay for the 2 extras that couldnt make it, shame there wasnt the extra food! Not one of us will ever go back nor recommend Gradi due to the poor service and the greed of such a large resturant!

Husband and myself went for my birthday dinner. We’ve ordered 2 pizzas that we liked from the menu. Pizzas tasted good, but however $70 for 2 pizzas I tought was a bit over the top, even taking in consideration the location and the food quality. At the end of the day it’s still pizza.service was great.

The food was delightful. Service was great. The meals came out very quickly. The place was packed with a que to get in. Drinks are super pricey though with the average wine bottle being $100+. Great for special occasions.

Amazing, authentic Italian food. Very highly recommended for a special occasion. It's a very busy restaurant on a Saturday night, which made it quite loud at times, but the friendly, attentive service and delicious food made up for any discomfort!

Came here on a whim while out at Crown. Got a table within 5 minutes on a packed Saturday night, attentive staff made sure we were well taken care of. Tagliatelle was perfect, four cheeses pizza had four seperate, distinct tastes that meshed nicely when mixed together while the marinara pizza had the most beautiful tomato topping. Atmosphere was beautiful, however it is an extremely busy restaurant.

It has gotten too big now. Its loud. It's so busy the food is obviously pre plated. Especially the pizza. It's was cold and it came out 2 minutes after ordering. They asked for a tip at the pay desk. Clearly they no longer deserve a tip.
