Gradi at Crown

What can we say, the restaurant itself is what you would expect at Crown but the customer service is lacking and the inflated prices ridiculous. When one of our orders for Salt and Pepper Squid arrived with no salad (who serves that?) we requested a salad only to be told it would be extra. Fine, but they then refuses to make any changes so to get some tomato and onion with a green salad we would have to order both. The price of these two small salads (Not disclosed when we ordered them) $44. Absolute price gouging. The Pizza was very nice, but at $36 it would want to be. The Gnochi was at best average. Simply an over priced pizza joint that thinks its an Italian Classic. Pfffttt. We will not be back.

Known for their pizzas. Only thing is that it does get extremely busy, so if you're looking for somewhere quiet maybe not the ultimate place

We tried this restaurant two different evenings and the waits are long, the patio is closed leaving it overfilled.

Too make matters worse in both visits (90 minutes waiting), we only managed to get a drink and appetizer before we decided to pay (went to the front because we couldn't get the server to ever return).

Don't bother if your time matters to you, it doesn't matter to them.

We had an absolutely delightful experience. The highlight was definately the Margerita Pizza - it was a true masterpiece! The atmosphere and service was impeccable. We went to crown and decided to walk in but the staff helped us secured a table without us waiting for a long time which is a rare at this place. Can't wait to come back again

Full marks for fitting me in without a booking. Polite staff and efficient service. Nice atmosphere for such a large restaurant. I came for the pizza and it was good, but I expected better since the chef had won the prize in Naples for the world's best Neapolitan pizza. It was delicious but no better than good pizzas I had had in Sydney and Perth, and at $39 much more expensive. The Italian wine was really good.

First time being here and it was an amazing experience. I got the Pappardelle Mushoon Ragu pasta and it was really well made. Margherita Pizza was the best I've ever tasted (accompanied by Burrata cheese) and the Italian Pavlova was a great dessert dish to top it off. The waiter Vinicius was really well mannered and helpful throughout the experience, even providing a little birthday service for my friend. I would definitely be coming back here.

Dinner on Thursday night with guests from overseas. My wife had the lamb cutlets.
Became sick a few hours later, in bed or bathroom all Friday with food poisoning. Still not right on Sunday.

I had never been to Gradi before so I was expecting it to be amazing as it’s always booked out. I must admit there was flavour in the food but the portions are very small… Myself being a girl I left the restraunt still hungry. I ordered the bolognese, it was yummy although almost a quarter of the serve I was expecting. For $38, I found it very over priced and small. I must mention myself and my partner had to call the waiters over to get service also. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant if you are hungry.

We are the very first customer for dinner today.we ordered right away, other customer came in and everyone has their food except from our order.very disappointing!

An insult to Italian food. Calamari was tough and practically inedible. The pizza crust was very thick on the outside and paper thin in the centre which made it virtually impossible to pick-up and eat.

Gradi at crown is the perfect spot for a date! Classy enough to impress, casual enough to relax. Service is always great, 10/10 would take date again.

The food here is insane. Have been on their quieter nights and their busy nights and the food always remains fresh and delicious. My favourite Italian restaurant in Melbourne.

This place was amazing, incredible pizzas & desserts. Service was excellent and I will be back. Walked out with a food baby belly thats for sure pic is Italian pavlova - delicious!

I have visited here on only 3 occassions and have mixed feelings, margarita pizza is amazing, I love pizza but not so fussed on margarita as a rule, I like to spice my pizza up but this one I love but some of the other foods on offer I have felt somewhat let down by.

Amazing Italian food and pizza. The prizewinning pizza was as stated on the packet. Dessert to die die for. Great service by the waiter too.

Atmosphere - buzzing with happy customers. ️

Was very disappointed. Pizza was cold and soggy.
Gnocchi was luke warm and Napoli sauce was bland.
Was so looking forward to going for a birthday lunch which was ruined by bad food.
