Best place to eat and drink on the Mornington Peninsula! Awesome staff and amazing vibes inside! Always good music playing and don’t even get me started on the cocktails!

A great place to catch up with friends for a few drinks and something to eat. Staff are always very friendly and the live entertainment is excellent

I called God's Kitchen three weeks ago to ask about making a booking for May 15 for more than 20 people because their website asks for phone reservations for large groups. The booking was for a special occasion, a joint birthday shared by myself and two other people, and we were all pretty excited. The waitress told me the manager would call me back to confirm but I never heard back. I chased them up a week later and left a voice message on the answering machine. I then received a gruff call back from a guy identifying himself as the manager or the owner. He told me his staff called me back and left a voice message to confirm the booking, (I'd received no missed calls or voice messages), but I was just happy to have something locked in. The man and I confirmed the number of guests, date and time multiple times before hanging up, so the details were crystal clear. Then the big night arrived and my group started to arrive, only to be told no reservation existed and they couldn't accommodate us! To say we were let down was an understatement. I hadn't arrived yet and called the restaurant to complain while another friend madly called other nearby restaurants to make alternative arrangements. No one at God's Kitchen answered my call or bothered to return it. My friends hung around at GK for a little bit longer until we were able to give them an updated address for a new restaurant. The manager then approached one of my friends to say he'd received my voice message and attempted to call me back to apologise but I hadn't answered the phone. This was a straight up lie, he did not attempt to call me at all. Luckily my friends and I were able to squeeze into Kirk's on the Esplanade, which by a stroke of luck were able to accommodate a large group at short notice. They said they would not usually have the space, but the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The food was also fantastic, as were the drinks. In the end everyone had a fantastic night at Kirk's, so all's well that ends well. But it was no thanks to the totally incompetent, liars at God's Kitchen. I honestly wouldn't attempt to go back there if someone paid me. I'm all about supporting hospitality businesses, particularly following lockdown, but my strong advice would be not to bother with GK. Go to Kirk's instead if you want a good meal and friendly service! They also have a much bigger menu and beautiful views of the bay.

Incredibly slow service and the lady serving us with brown hair and tats was very rude and cold. When our orders were initially taken by another girl and a few of us weren’t ready she said she’d come back but no one did until the first lot of drinks arrived 15 mins later. We then asked the girl who brought them over if we could order our drinks now and She told us that we can’t order drink separately and have to be ordered as a group. The rest of the group ordered their second lot of drinks with our first and 20 mins later received the second jug or beer with the other drinks proceeding to sit on the bar with the ice melting for another 10 mins. Been here many times before and never had a problem but after last night I will not be returning and am very unhappy with my experience.

My husband and I went in to grab a quick drink and some tapas. Staff were very friendly, I ordered a French martini which was delicious and oysters Kilpatrick and calamari. We eat calamari a lot when we are out and this was probably the best we have ever had, the oysters were high quality and my husband who typically doesn't like oysters kept going back for more. Will be back again, exceeded expectations.

Great vibe, we sat in the new out door venue. The seating was respectful of social distancing, with texas smokes ribs & chicken wings. Service was excellent.

Very good experience, the food is a bit expensive but it is definitely worth the price it tasted delicious and there was both quantity and quality. I personally loved the chips because they were really crispy but not to oily at all, the drink are also absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend going here

A hidden gem on the Mornington Peninsula catering for all ages and lifestyles. The food is focused entirely on flavour and disregards the unnecessary pretence in presentation. There are a selections a spaces inside and out that will ensure you feel comfortable with a group of friends or a quite one on one. Staff are as wonderful and eclectic as the drinks selection.

We will not be coming back, it was 44 degrees today so we asked if we could have some mashed up Avocado or Pumpkin for my friends baby, they said no twice then we asked a 3rd guy who didn't even bother returning, plus our waitress could barely crack a smile, so disappointing, we won't be coming back & neither will our friends & family, pretty shocking considering we live locally, look after your customers better!

I love Gods Kitchen.
Steak night is key,
steaks have gotten smaller over the years, however, with today's climate, this is expected.

I always have a lit time at Gods
