Glicks Balaclava

Best bagels in Melbourne. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is due to stock issues. It's so popular they often run out of certain types early. Also do gluten free bagels.

When I was younger my father would take us to Glicks every Sunday for fresh bagels. In recent years the quality has gone down significantly. The bagels used to have a great crust and chewy, doughy inside, now they are soft and fluffy without substance. Such a shame.

Bagels, babka, blinzes. All kosher comfort food. Also has a Cafe style area for coffee and eat in meals. Love the place.

Very good bagels, almost as good as they are in New York. The breads look incredible, too. We'll be back.

Ok, not great bagels but my 10 year old likes their poppy seed mini bagels for her school lunch. Australians don't really get what a good bagel is. Most of the bagels here are bread rolls with holes in the middle. 5 & dime are the true bagel to buy in Melbourne but can get pricy depending on where you buy it - vary anywhere from $2 to $4. Glicks mini bagels are $3.60 for half dozen

It's all about the Jewish-style deli food. A bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers and dill. That's where it's at.

Customer service was very poor
Food quality was very low, Bagels weren't crispy on the outside, cream cheese was gross
Tables were dirty
Not many tables to sit at
The one good thing was that it was cheap
