First off, the discounted price on this is what sold me. The service was great for the most part. Received a txt saying the guitar would be getting new strings on it and a service. It got new strings but I don’t think an actual service was done due to the action causing an awful lot of buzzing along the fretboard. Received two days after purchase, however with a purchase like this. It is the first time I have never received a complimentary gig bag, or strap, or picks. That was a little disappointing.

The guitar itself I am very impressed with. It is surprisingly lightweight sounds great and plays nice (once I adjusted the action). However the tenon plate was cracked so I simply remove it.

These guys have been great to deal with. I bought a fairly expensive octave pedal for my guitar. After it arrived (in Brisbane from Melbourne), I decided it wasn't the sound I was after so they let me send it back for credit (the next day, no damage to box etc.). Then I found a 6-string banjo that I knew I'd love but the only retailer was in WA. On the off-chance I asked Macron if they'd consider selling me the same banjo (because they had other banjos by the same brand) to use up my credit, price-matching the guys in WA. And they did, what champs! Unfortunately, the banjo had a buzz and another technical issue so Macron and the wholesaler arranged to swap it for another new one, which arrived yesterday. Love it. I liaised with Daniel from Macron and he was great; efficient and personable. Thanks for making my convoluted shopping experience a breeze.

I've never been to a music store where the staff made me feel as welcome and comfortable as they did at Macron Music. Super happy with their service to the point where I doubt I'll ever go elsewhere. As a begginer it's important to feel comfortable and they absolutely nailed it. I had more than one staff member offer assistance in a short period of time too.

Best music shop in Melbourne. Really fantastic and friendly service. One of my guitar frets got damaged. A beer bottle landed on it, oops. The tech fixed it really well. I have also bought a Roland piano, the guys are very open to beginners and have been happy to share knowledge and experience. Only shop I go to now.
