Gaylord Indian Restaurant

Very poor customer service.we wanted to go for the other menue but we have been advised the other one is better so we went for that menue.
The food was good however wait staff was unprofessional and confused. The boy was not able to understand and we were five people.we said we won't go for dessert for two people as they are diabetic he and the rest three will have dessert he ended up serving only one dessert. So disappointing.

Located in the Grand hotel the restaurant has a good ambience. When entering the place I felt like I am going to back in time. The place and the decor are beautiful.

The menu is adequate and the staff members are very helpful. Orderd a 4 course meal and the waiter explained the menu and offerd some good recommendations. Enjoyed all the dishes and the food was lovely.

I highly recommend this place as the staff and helpful and the meals locked with taste. Happy to go for another meal.

Its one of the best indian restaurant in melbourne very polite very attendive and as for the food execelent taste perfect food will come again

Not even worth of a try. Toooooo expensive with less quantity and utterly taste. Not going to suggest anyone to it.

Only good thing is their service which is good with hard working staff.

Highly recommend! I had an awesome birthday party at the restaurant and the food is always amazing and happily adjusted the menu with all the dietary requirements very friendly staff and many thanks to Raj and Sunny!

The service was great, the waitstaff was very patient with me and happy to explain the dishes. The food was amazing and so flavorsome. The portions were good and the price very reasonable.

Had the 4 dish set menu with extra onion bhajis which were delicious. Also got the onion salad which I learned (after setting my face on fire!) That you should eat it WITH something else. Be warned this stuff is hot!
But the food was really really good and very well priced for the quality.
Will definitely be back.

Superb! You walk in and you know their curries are great by the smell of the place. So often in restaurants you want to put on a gas mask, or you want to flee; not here. The gentle, timid but characteristically Indian aroma is reassuring and comforting. You feel safe immediately.
We had a minor issue with one of the appetisers, but instead of denying the obvious, we were offered an apology and a solution, which is all there was to do.
The main courses were divine, the naan crunchy, chewy and smokey; the three different curries had been simmered to perfection and distinction. The goat melted away from the bone and - sitting next to a Vegan - I was convinced that even the goat was enjoying the experience or at least felt life was worth living while it lasted. Thank you and we’ll meet again!

Average menu, average quality, average service but very high price. Menu can be improved a lot. I think overall there is chance of improvement in every aspects.

Subtle Indian food, not too spicy. Loved the starters specially kebabs. Nan and got curry is must try.

I ordered a spicy cocktail, which was the only awful one of the lot.

So far the best indian food (mid to high range $) i have had in melbourne. Good food and amazing presentation.portion size could have been better (hence 4 star). A must try for people craving for indian food.
