Gaylord Indian Restaurant

We had been to Gaylord restaurant for our second year anniversary and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the ambience, slow soothing music and most importantly the food. Me and my wife loved the taste and presentation of the food, we had ordered Afghani soya chaap, Butter chicken, garlic naan with zaatar and biryani. We ordered guava mojito and blue lagoon drink as well.
Our anniversary was memorable, we both loved the flavours and spices in the food. Overall, it was an experience to remember

Needs urgent upgrade of their facilities, more options for brunch with better quality of food being served.

Really bad food. We waited 20-25 mins in a pretty much empty for the waiter to show up and take the order. The food took 20 mins to come in which was quick but it reflected on the quality which worse than poor paid 105 dollars for a curry and biryani the curry had 6 pieces of meat and they were just bones when we talked to the manager instead of correcting the dish he offered a 5 dollar discount on a 35 dollar dish. I vomited right after finishing the food. Only if i could give them -5 stars i would. Would never go there nor would recommend any one

Other than the atmosphere and history of grand hotel and Gaylord, DJ and Raj take personal pride in serving their customers the menu is carefully curated to satisfy your pallette and transports you back to india. Everything we tried kali mirch Murgh, paneer tikka masala were bang on. We tried the paan kulfi on their recommendation and it was beautifully presented and the best one he had. Couldn’t have asked for a better dinner experience

We came down from Sydney & have never been before. Just needed somewhere close to our hotel. We had a really lovely night. The food was SO good & the service was great. Thankyou & definately recommend.

Food was excellent, high quality ingredients and most importantly made with passion. Service staff were excellent, very friendly and atmosphere was peaceful. Overall experience was awesome.

We found the food delicious, the staff very attentive and the atmosphere pleasant. It was a great dining experience to cap off a busy day of touring. Servings were generous and left us with enough to take home for another meal. Would recommend.

Fantastic place for a Brunch. Service was very fast. Great atmosphere loved the decor.
Food was fantastic. Really enjoyed all of it. Fantastic cocktails. Loved the mojitos they were made perfectly.
Butter chicken was delicious! Would be great to have a kids menu. For the not so food adventurous kids.

Used to be really good and tasty, seems like there’s been a change of hands…. Flavours are bland. Nothing special.

We had a great experience here! The food was so delicious, the restaurant itself was really comfortable and relaxing and all of the staff were lovely. Will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend!

Wow! Absolutely wonderful evening spent at Gaylord. Beautiful decor and comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely attentive. She explained dishes to us that we hadn't tried before and modified portion sizes so that we could all share a few different entrees. The food was soooo delicious, amazing flavours and quality throughout. The chef provided extra lamb cutlets as our waitress told us he thought they were too small to serve the usual number. The lamb rogan was so tender it just fell apart. Naan bread filled with flavour and cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go again ourselves next time we visit Melbourne. Thank you for a wonderful experience?

A delightful dinner experience. The waitstaff were accomodating to our needs and the meals well presented and generous portions

Amazing food, especially the cheese and garlic naan. Highly recommend the butter chicken curry to go with it for dipping:) only comment I would give is that the fish curry is a bit too spicy for me!

Last week i was in Melbourne…,
Tried saag chicken thr…was absolutely rubbish….
Tried pani puri…. Was bullshit…
I think they need to go to india to try what real pani puri is!

Food was below average, starters were fine. Veg pulov smelt so bad, not sure if the rice was even freshly made.

We ordered chicken Bihari, paneer kali mirch, chicken saag and dal makhani. I don’t know how can all the dishes taste so bad. Not one dish was good. This place needs a different chef! The food was very average and just not likeable. Will not be coming back here.

Shocking experience. Two waiters working but clearly one of them is as on his first night as he just stood around staring at everyone and everything. Sat for 15 minutes before managed to order a beer. They have a kingfisher tap but not pouring.both beers I had were not that cold.
The one waiter that was working did his best and was very apologetic. The food- average. Beef vindaloo I asked for spicy - was like a korma.best thing about the meal was the garlic naan. The salad was chunks of cucumber beetroot, carrot and some lettuce/onion.no dressing just a dry plate.
Wont be returning. Must be better around.

Had dinner with friends! Everyone loved it. Staff is very friendly and professional.
You gonna feel they made food according to your own taste. Definitely recommend.
