Fonda Mexican reviews
81Food is fresh and well portioned. Staff always friendly and you never have to wait long. Good place for dinner or lunch. Will definitely be back.
Came here for Friday night drinks and nibbles. Nachos were pretty good but the restaurant itself was a little noisy and not comfortable for a relaxing drink. The Knox City outlet is much more chilled.
Not the best place to eat Mexican food. The place is spacious and the staff is friendly, but the food portions were ridiculous regarding the cost!
Always great and reliable for good food. Staff are friendly and attentive. No table service but that is great for splitting bills with big groups because everyone can buy their own. Sometimes hard to get a table on Friday and Saturday nights and they may give you a time limit to leave. Overall, a Melbourne visit staple!
Pretty good Mexican place. Food was good, as well as a good selection of beers, and service was fine. Better than I was expecting.
Had the feed me menu. Great way to taste a variety of dishes on offer. Enjoyed it all especially the fish tacos.
I just love this Mexican food: so delicious. Flavours are awesome. My favourite is the beef burrito.
In the menu Tacos (plural) listed as corn tortillas (plural). What was served was a single lonely failure of a soft shell Taco. Disappointed.
Used to be a lot better, definite drop in both quality and portion since the last time I was here. Still OK, but not what it was.
Delicious fresh menu, which is frequently being changed up with new additions. Their mushroom taco is the actual best, and they should totally add it back to the menu (hint hint), but all their food is great. Good range of options for vegetarians/vegans as well as those who do eat meat.
Had the feed me. Loved everything, but the chicken quesadillas were the best. I wish we had Mexican this good in Sydney
The food has changed and it’s no longer tasty at all! Wired taste of pan fried onions in Tacos and no juicy burritos! Will never come back
Food was delicious at a decent price, metal benches at the booth sittings were uncomfortable though. Corn was really yummy!
Ordered burrito and tacos. Food was good but definitely bit overpriced. Thanks to Amex 20-for-10 offer so I could afford to eat here
Good service and great options for food, great quality vegan chipotle and options as well, usually a bit pricey as Mexican is in Melbourne but still tasty.
Great Mexican in a licensed venue. I had a Sir Vesa beer which is flavored with koriander. Very nice.
I have never had a bad meal in this place. Really great food, is a bit on the pricey side for what it is but the food is so good it's easy to forget
Friendly and speedy service! Amazing aesthetics with a great menu — I recommend at least getting a plate of nachos to share for the table, you won't regret it! And go spicy too, why not?
Food is strictly OK. Its overpriced and the quantity is small. I would get better tasting Mexican food at Mad Mex downstairs. Classic example of trying to make Mexican fancy by taking away the soul out of the flavour. Might not visit again.
