Really nice food and clean environment.but tacos mean to be street food, it’s the meaning of taco. The food reminded me of my experience in México but in a costly way

Not enough options. Waiters walking around doing nothing. Not wearing their mask correctly. Commenting on each other’s shoes. Very disappointed. Recommend a place without early 20 waiters/ workers. Sticky tables.

Ordered some nachos, some of the corn chips were very burnt, other than that the nachos were nice. You have to scan a QR code and order online which is very cool, also the food was made very quickly (within 5 min).

Post Stage 4 Lockdown Review: Booking necessary as they are serious with government limits on indoor venues. Came in for early dinner and had one of their set menu. Food was basic Mexican food plus salads (did not expect good salads from a Mexican Place). Nachos were kinda dry and quesadillas were a bit soggy. Although the wife enjoyed it since the meal was light but filling. Might give it another try soon.

Cold and old meat.service was average. Waited 20 minutes after eating dinner for our dessert which we ordered at the same time as dinner. Asked twice to the whereabouts and still waited some time. Tough experience.

Has the food become better here?

I have been here approx 3 times in 18 months.
Whilst I'm not thrilled with the decor or the fact you need to go to the counter to order (and pre pay) the food is solid. Good for a quick bite, fast table delivery, friendly staff

Pretty wide range of options on the menu but given the costs, nothing to write home about. Still, good place for a quick bite to eat.

Staff friendly enough. No sangria by the glass.only jug at $34 - very disappointing.had to order at counter with all take away customers - 8 deep. Frustrating. Customer not valued at all. Wont be back, i dont care how good food is!

I was surprisingly disappointed with my experience here. To begin with there's a please wait to be seated sign, as I sat the waiter informed me to order at the counter. Which is impractical given the size of the restaurant, and the number of take away order I had to wait behind. While I was waiting, my table got re allocated to another person by a different waiter. My single burrito took 25 minutes to come, it was okay but nothing special. Pretty pricey for the portion size as well

The fish taco and pulled pork quesadilla was delicious however for the price paid, it would have been nice if there was a bit more table service.

AMAZING! Great quality food and service was friendly. Been here so many times and always been super. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas, chips and homemade sodas!

Four of us came here on a Sunday night. So first of all, thank you for actually being open until 9pm on a Sunday. This removes the hassle of trying to find restaurants which open late on Sundays. I opted for the chicken chipotle winter bowl, which was quite delicious. A bit spicier than I expected but luckily there was yoghurt to ease the palate. Overall, our group decided the prices are a little more dearer than we would've liked, especially considering a plain chicken salad is $17. But anyway, what do you expect these days? Melbourne is a rich city so I am not really surprised when cafes/restaurants are expensive. Anyway, the restaurant has a really nice vibe to it and the music was also bopping. I think Fonda is trying to appeal to the millennial crowd considering the inclusion of Drake. Anyway, thanks for the good time Fonda:) I'll definitely be back for more nice food!

My friend and I were in need of something light for lunch and found ourselves on the top floor in Chadstone where the food places are close to the movie houses. We ordered corn chips with avocado and chopped tomato. A light tasty snack, very enjoyable.afterwards a fresh apple juice was refreshing BUT there were more ice chunks in the glass than apple juice. We took the ice chucks out as didn't want them and lo and behold we were left with third of the glass of juice. Sorry but that's not good. We decided not to go there again!

Good food however the portion sizes are extremely small. You pay $12 for a bowl of tortilla chips that come with quac and salsa. Yet they give you a small amount of chips with one tiny scoop of salsa and guac. Tacos are $7 each and they are tiny! What did I just spend my money on? I'm not even full. Super disappointed.

Walked up to the “wait to be seated” sign and waited for 5mins for somebody to show up. Nobody did. Walked into the store to find one of the roaming staff to tell them we’d sat down at one of the many empty tables.

He relatively impolitely informed me that there was a waiting list for entry and that I would need to give him my number, leave and come back when I got a text (approx 15mins). This, despite the fact there were probably enough empty tables to seat 30 people.

Fonda Chadstone gets 1 star I can’t give zero plus 1 star for the quality of the food minus 1 star for the pathetic service.

I’ve been a recurring customer there since the store opened, as I’m a regular visitor and like their Flinders Lane location.

Following this abject failure of customer experience, I’m going to look for alternative lunch venues at Chadstone and put my money towards their competitors. They clearly don’t value it enough to deserve it.

They have the freshest and tastiest maxican you’ll have. The grilled chicken is moist soft and very tasty. Love the sauces that comes with each items. The lunch set is a must try just for $20.

Rather disappointed with my experience at the Chadstone location. I love Fonda, but today my food took ages even though the restaurant wasnt busy, and when it finally arrived (after sitting waiting to be picked up and delivered to me for over 5 minutes) it was cold, a smaller portion than normal, and the crispy chickpeas had gone completely soft. Won't be returning to the Chadstone location and will instead stick to the Fonda in Prahran!

A gorgeous experience for my daughter’s 13th birthday! Easy to order. Great selection and staff super lovely. Would recommend for solo dining, to couples, to groups!

I have eaten at Fonda Hawthorn, Swan St and Flinders Lane and loved the food and vibe every time. Tonight I ate at Fonda Chadstone and was very disappointed. The cerviche was mostly red cabbage, hardly any fish, and lacked the flavour of cerviche. Just a bland pile of cabbage with a few tiny pieces of fish. Fonda Chadstone let's the brand down.

They served the incorrect food- to two people who are Coeliac and Dairy intolerant. They didn’t apologise and didn’t want to take the food back. I asked multiple times, nicely to have what I originally ordered served and after the waitress stormed off thumping her feet back the kitchen, the manager came out and apologised and reordered our order.
The food came out but was 100 times spicier than any other time I have ordered it! Talk about being spiteful! I love the food at Fonda but I think I’ll eat it at other locations.
