Fonda Mexican reviews
76 Went above and beyond to assist my friend with a wide array of allergies. Thank you.
Friendly service and great food.
Place is awesome in the magical Chapel is street. Tried the Chicken Salad Nachos Quesadillas
Staff were fun and keen to find a good spot for a large group.
Great place, great food and very nice staff. In addition their order and paying system is great. You scan the bar code of the menu order and pay.
Yummy tacos and nachos. My partner and I had the fish and the shrimp, my partner had the sweet potato and the beef. Deeee-lish. And Horchata, too!
Excellent service from our waitress Georgia & food was terrific. Will definitely visit again.
As with most people I know we have raved about Fonda for years as the place to get a great quick meal or delivery. But we decide to eat in for first time since pre lockdown and were treated with food colder than an uber eats delivery order on peak Saturday night trade.
Yes it's fine that we now order via QR code and you still managed to forget one of our ordered items. But just not sure how the service and food temperature can be worse when your 2m from the kitchen. Sorry you have lost me.
I really enjoyed the food at Fonda, as well as the service, drinks, cleanliness. We ordered electronically- and the food came out quickly.
Overall its OK. Atmosphere was nice and waiters were very friendly. However the price is quite high and portions small, averaging about $8 for a single taco.
As far as I could tell, the only tortilla for tacos was corn based, which is good if youre gluten intoleranant, but i personally don't like the texture nor lack of structure of corn tortillas and I'm sure I'm not alone. I can't imagine it would be hard to implement wheat as an option.
For this reason and the portion to price ratio its a 3/5 for me.
The atmosphere was good but I was let down by the food, I ordered a burrito without chilli and found pieces of chilli in my meal: (when I told the waitress she didn't do anything about it and i left the restaurant hungry.
Amazing food great vibes good customer services as well this place is a must to check out its definitely on my top 10 places to go too 10/10
Delicious food, great drinks, friendly staff! Easy to order with the app. Overall great experience and definitely will visit again
Fonda is great Mexican with a variety of options for every taste. Our 8 year old doesn't like spicy food but there were some good options to keep her happy. This place can get seriously crowded so try and get in early.
Bustling and somewhat noisy space but we had a quieter window seat and watched the world go by.very happy with the wine on offer to compliment my tacos and nachos. Tick. We shall be back!
Great food, good flavours, friendly staff, buzzing atmosphere. They made corn a hit that I would go back for, for sure.
Had been here on a Friday evening. Place is quite busy and better if a table is booked in advance. It has nice interior and good range of vegetarian options. Sir veza beer was good, we loved it.
When we entered we were given a table and told that shortly someone would help us with menu and water, but nobody turned up. So we did help ourselves.
Food was okay, I felt Fonda restaurant in city is better. There weren’t any beans in beans an falafel burrito!
Really good range of margaritas and other Mexican drinks. Food was average Mexican with small servings. Overall a good experience.
Chargrilled corn, Nachos with Black Beans and Mushroom Quesadilla with Fonda Paloma
- This picture was taken at @fondamexican located at Chapel Street, Windsor, Victoria, Australia
- Chargrilled corn very yummy very juicy and tempting
- Nachos was a great treat to my mouth.
- Quesadilla was so juicy in the inside and so crispy outside, served with a dip. - Perfect blend of mushroom, herbs and spices.
- Fonda Paloma is a nice cocktail with a jackfruit and black salt is coated outside the glass circle, Very exotic drink
Thank you so much for the amazing service. Me and my partner went here and had the best time. The food was really good, came out quick and the cocktails were amazing. Major thank you to Nathan the manager who was on shift who with the staff member Constanza went out of their way to make us have a great night. Great staff and excellent experience. Thank you! Bianca and Nico
Shame we didn’t get to try it as the waiter said they didn’t have space for two people although there were plenty of larger tables open and it was a regular week night. We only wanted a quick dinner and would have been in and out in about half an hour if you had let us.
The broadbean and falafel burrito contained store bought patties and had no unique ingredients or flavours - carrot and cabbage basically - the wrap used was also not fresh. Grilled Chicken salad was served with cold chicken. The charred corn only contain half a piece of corn. The service and preparation was poor and slow. Very overpriced for what you get. Recommend going to one of the other many restaurants in this strip.
