Fonda Mexican

Fonda was one of my favorite places - but now I don't like the menu at all. Someones making terrible decisions!
Variety is gone, tiny portion sizes (appauling), service gone sour and pricing should be fixed its not worth it at the moment. The tacos "were" awesome, now you don't sell them at all, along with many other questionable menu changes.

Cost cutting in detriment to your menu and customers! So very sad.

My family and I visited Fonda Mexico after a movie and had a very pleasant experience. We had two burritos and a salad. The food quality is very high and tasted really good. The quantity on the salad was also very good and so much that we shared it among ourselves to finish.

The staff were polite and friendly. I didn't feel any micro aggression whatsoever which was really good.

The lighting in the place was also very interesting. The place is also quiet compared to many other places that we have been to and so it was a very pleasant experience.

Our only wish is that they would keep the place open till 2300 instead of closing at 2130 hours. Lots of movie goers would come here instead of being limited by the choices they have after 10 pm.

Easily one of the best places in Westfield Knox. Fonda has a great space, nice staff, and decent quality food. Portions aren't big but we could all benefit from that. Not the best in the Eastern suburbs but certainly no competition in the complex.

Meh. It was ok, nothing to write home about. The deco was cool, but the food was over priced and small.

My birthday, very disappointed! No Mexican ambience! $18 for 1/3 of a glassful of drink! I don't mind ordering at the counter if prices are reasonable, but they're not! Tiny prawn taco dripping water

Great fresh tasting food. But it is pricey and the servings are small. We had the nachos, burrito and quesadilla between the two of us. I was still hungry at the end.

We have brought the team here a number of times for celebrations. Always friendly staff and good food. Love this place

Fonda Mexican, while frequently quite busy, is busy for a reason. The food is an interesting take on your traditional Mexican meals, but certainly holds up! The venue stylistically designed and consistent. I'll definitely be back.

I ordered nachos, requested them to be vegan with a side of black beans. The price was $21 and I received a very small serve of nachos, with about a tablespoon of guacamole and the same of black beans. It tasted delicious but for the price I expected a little more food for the price.

Went with my partner tonight and loved it. Food was great as usual, and the woman who seated us was super friendly and explained everything well. Didn't catch her name but we sat outside with our puppy around 8pm and thought she was lovely:)

Nachos was very dry, overcooked and hardly any cheese on it. Food was missing flavour and portions too small. Nachos was $16 for a small bowl. The Qasadilla was entree size portion, also for $16. Spent $50 in total for 3 dishes and a soda. We bought food from the supermarket immediately after because we were still hungry after our meal. Disappointing. Won't go back.

Literally the best Burrito I’ve ever had, so fresh and full of flavour!

A bit over priced, serving sizes don’t match the price, but it’s quality food.

Disappointing feed for what we paid. My quesadilla had a dismal amount of cheese and was definitely not worth $16. Very poor value for money.

Some of the best Mexican food I've eaten in Australia. Wonderfully refreshing. Great flavours, good portions, very filling. Magnificent house made sodas as well. Above and beyond service. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

Went here with my friends and the staff were extremely rude, the would not allow us to have an extra table as we had 7 people so we were cramped onto one table.one of the waiters kept huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes.food was ok however the treatment from floor staff was horrid. WILL NEVER GO BACK

A delicious take on Mexican favourites like burritos and quesadillas. Food is generally on the pricey side for the portion size, but never disappointed with the quality/taste! Been many times and always leaves me eager to return. Always a good music playlist too!

Nice food.bit pricey for the quantity.and not sure if they want to be a full service restaurant or a bar.for the price I would expect it to be a full service with order taken at the table.

I had come here about a year ago and was not impressed with the food quality, but still i thought id give it another go maybe the food had had improved.
Upon entering the space is modern and beautiful but as for the service i was very disappointed. I had ordered the nachos which were very overcooked and had a lovely burnt flavor no taste and no cheese.
My friend had ordered the chicken tacos which 2 were left untouched very dry and flavorless. Drinks which i paid $16 for a margarita arrived half empty. The best part of our meal were the chips. Overall very dissapointed and will not be returning
Next time I will sit in the comfort of my home and make my own non burnt nachos
