Fish Fetish

Ordered the seafood basket for 2, which came with two flakes, 2 scallops, 2 calamari rings, and a couple handful of chips, food was nice however what's got me was the menu is no where to be seen with no pricing whatsoever and it isn't til you order you realise how much you pay. Service felt rushed and frustrated

The chips were good, but dealing with the staff was such an unpleasant experience that I cannot recommend this shop. Avoid.

Food is yum but staff is terrible. No signs anywhere indicating that they only accept cash, don't tell you until it's time to pay, which is probably why the ques are always busy. Wait times are ridiculous and their secretive tax dodging payment is inconvenient.

Thinking of nominating this shop to the Guinness book of world records for the thinnest piece of fish ever to be battered. Give this shop the flick! Drive to prossers at Rye!

We had lunch here on July 10th 2021. The very first chip pulled out of the box had a dark hair on it. The young man behind the counter (with tatts on his fingers) rubbed/scratched his hair a lot when behind the counter. This is a big no-no. The staff were also not wearing masks - another no-no. This place did not accept credit card payments (in 2021 no-less, AND during a pandemic), so we had to pay by cash and be handed change. The two male staff stared at my friend whilst we were seated awaiting our order - making her feel very uncomfortable. The food was "meh" - I will NOT buy from this place again.

Fish and chips were okay, although our order was messed up and we ended up paying more unfortunately. Queues were quite lengthy which was a good sign, but we've had better fish and chips unfortunately.

Would have given 5 stars if all payment options were available (Only cash and direct bank transfer accepted), if there were prices on the menu at the door, and if they were a little bit more welcoming.
Otherwise the food was fabulous.

Fresh and affordable fish and chips, good portions. I’m not a fish and chips lover, but I really enjoyed our lunch there!

Cash only and didn’t mention this before ordering. Didn’t give us the fish in our fish and chips order (pretty essential part.), so after we opened up the pack we had to walk back up from the beach and re-order it all over again. Huge wait times. Avoid.

Best fnc on the Mornington Peninsula, thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It was all very very tasty. Fresh oil used, as so noticeable in the taste as was lovely and crispy. I had the flathead tails and my daughter enjoyed the flake. The chips were amazing as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to take away and enjoy down by the ocean. Perfect day out! Ty kindly to the owner as he was extremely courteous and friendly. We will absolutely return

The worst service I have ever had in my life the most arrogant staff I have ever had in my life avoid at all cost, my father who is 80 years old and cannot have sauce because of additives tried to order a steak and was told no variations to menu what just sauce we asked for to left off its not that hard to not pick up a sauce bottle and not ad.

Discususting service

Will not give a good review as the customer service is very poor, don't know how to talk to a person, if you are stress at something don't take it out of your customers.
Also they talk like they obey Covid-19 rules and asking all customers to keep their distance, but accepts only cash.really?
Food - chips were good but we ordered 4 boxes got only one box full of chips and 4 fish in one box not worth.but because there were no place we had to roll with it. Overall bad experience.

Absurd waiting times, maybe 25 minutes for fish and chips. They need more staff to speed up the process because the fish was absolutely beautiful and the chips were quite nice too. Need pepper and salt sachets as well as small tom sauces to be a complete fish and chippery.

Always good quality chips, fish, dimmy's and tator cakes! Place a phone order if you dont like standing around. Order a couple of hours in advance and your stuff will be ready close to nominated time. I always see cranky people waiting longer than they think it should take. This place is not macca's - stuff is freshly prepared - good things take time and are worth the wait.

It was okay fish and chips. It is weird that there is no price on the menu and cash only though.

Good F&C. Ordered over the phone because we knew they would be busy and the order was ready right on time.
No EFT facilities in a covid world is very inconvenient. Had to do a bank transfer at the counter which caused a queue. Price was on the high side but not unreasonable for the quality of food.

Lovely local hangout spot in the picturesque Sorrento foreshore with a very wide variety of food to enjoy on the beach and the staff are very welcoming and friendly and will cater to your needs great customer service highly reccomend

The only one in this place. Staffs are not realy nice and help full. Price is ok. Food quality is at average
