Best fish & chips in Melbourne and I’m a kiwi. We came from mordy to have these. Great service good fish yummy chips

Absolutely delicious! Our daughter had told us that Fish Fetish had the best fish and of anywhere she had been in the world. So we tried several items and were not disappointed in the least. The batter was light. The tassie scallops were enormous and I can't remember ever enjoying chips so much - truly old fashioned crunch! The owner and staff are friendly blokes who take the time to explain choices and differences in fish available. The prawns and calamari were wonderful too. They threw in a battered pineapple fritter and it too was scrumptious. Talk about a feast. We will definitely be back.

Chips were so over cooked and saturated in fat, nothing left on the inside of them. Disgusting! Not going back!

Very nice fish and chips. Hot, fresh fish, crispy and tasty, no greasy old oil taste. Crispy batter, not thick or doughy.
Remember to crab a pineapple fritter for dessert, it’s sweet and juicy.

Being the only fish and chips shop in the vacinity it was super busy when we went around lunch time. We placed our fish for 2 order with some extra crab stick, grabbed a ticket and waited. Remember to specify if you want chicken salt or normal salt; we didn't know and when asked for chicken salt, was told that we should've said so earlier.

There are some limited outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to get one otherwise you can take your food down the beach.

The food was fresh, especially the fish for us. Otherwise this isn't much different to what we get at our local fish and chips. The menu doesn't show any prices so you might get a shock when paying as it is a bit pricey.

Fish good, chips good, batter yuk but seagulls and magpie enjoyed. Convenient in main Street Sorrento but better elsewhere, my opinion. Don't like batter soaked in fat/oil. To each his/hers own, I guess? Take our menus shows no prices so good luck. Prices are on display in small alcove entry of shop. Cooks more interested in chatting about their overseas trips themselves during busy periods. Order taker was nice. No pictures provided as would be unfair to the Business. Note that Seagulls and Magpie were not seen again for their opinions. Note that there are long waits as there aren't many other options for fish and chips at this coastal location.

Amazingly fresh and delicious Barramundi and chips. The calamari is super fresh and delicious too, not processed. Super quick, only waited 15 minutes and they take cash or bank transfer which was super easy. Would definitely go here again!

The food is definitely fresh. The battering was yummy though it is a little bit too salty and oily but I'm being picky. Service is average potentially due to covid as I had to ask for cuttery (to which only plastic forks were given.not knives) and napkins.

Ordered chips but had to cancel as they don’t have eftpos cause apparently it’s the 1970s. I was then told that I ‘can’t do that cause it’s stuffs everyone around’- no worries, I’ll bring my cheque book next time…

Fish n chips were fine, average.

But the fact they accept only cash, in 2022, is completely insane.

We all know there is only one possible reason for a business to do this these days - to cheat on their taxes.

They are inconveniencing every single customer who walks in, so they can cheat on their taxes.

Any business that has the gall to do this should be boycotted.

Love this place. Great value (fed 6 people for under $60) and they delivered their highest quality despite the crazy holiday rush. Everything was delicious - excellent, crispy chips, burgers, potato cakes, flake and dim sims! Also, we ordered in advance and the food was ready perfectly on time.

Was actually very good.very fresh and was delicious.we attended on a public holiday so it was absolutely packed.and there was quite a wait.was worth it though!

Food was quite good, and reasonably priced. Impressed with the staff who were in high spirits despite an obviously busy day in the middle of summer holidays

Fish was well cooked and fresh. Chips were pretty average and dry. Our friends enjoyed their meals and commented on how filling and enjoyable their serves were. Service was a let down even though they said it was a 15minute wait and they were busy. Orders were brought to the front by cooking staff and left on the bench rather than helping out the front end and calling out the numbers. We had to walk up and ask if our orders were ready (visibly sitting on the bench for 5minutes) as the girl that was supposed to be calling out the orders was too busy taking orders. The inconvenience of cash or eft transfer only was annoying as you only found out once you got to the front of the line.

Such amazing chips, so fresh and fluffy. The potato cake was also just the best. A great fish and chip shop.

For some reason they don't accept card. Was very lucky I had a bit of cash on me.

This place can be okay or not, today was that day! Understand they were churning out the fat literally but please don't sell tasteless fish just because! The fish was bland and the chips tasted like they were reheated not freshly fried.
Very dissatisfied. Back to our usual that was closed due to selling out.
