Ferntree Gully Kia

Not a great experience with FTG Kia - enough to make me never deal with them again.

I ordered a Kia EV6 GT in Feb 2022 before MSRP pricing was announced. Once pricing was announced in Mar 2023, and knowing that I was keen to buy, FTG Kia tried to charge me thousands above MSRP. When they presented me with the purchase order, the numbers didn't even add up. Both the stamp duty and LCT were under-quoted (leaving me to fear that the government would be chasing me up for the higher amount once the sale was done), the base vehicle price (before dealer delivery and other ORCs) was well above what Kia Australia publicly listed, and the grand total was inexplicably $300 more than the sum of all the line items.

When I tried to calmly discuss these matters with the senior salesman, I was made to feel that I was in the wrong and my concerns were just me being an annoying customer.

Buying a car should be an exciting experience, but FTG Kia turned it into a frustrating battle.

The only thing they did right was later have the General Manager (?) give me a call after the sales was done, once they got wind that I wasn't going to give them a great review. He patiently listened to my concerns and said he would try to make it up to me if I ever deal with them again, but like hell I'm ever going to do that!

Had the easiest time heading into the Ferntree Gully Kia. After seeing a vehicle on their website and wanting to have a look. Mark assisted me and helped out with ease. He stayed back after hours to let me look at the vehicle and test drive it. Not only that the dealership itself is amazing the self service bar! Looks like a buffet!

Turned out it was more than just a look and a test drive. With the easy help with Mark I’m now the new owner of this i30N!

Keith was our salesman who was very friendly and took his time helping us find the perfect car, with Chantelle also helping us out with adding on dash cams. When it was time to finally pick up my car, Caitlin made me feel super comfortable & showed me everything i needed to know. I can't thank these 3 enough for their help. We bought our Sorento through Dorian at Ferntree Gully Kia. Right from the start Dorian was honest about the long wait times and what was actually possible, which was greatly appreciated. He always answered our questions immediately with and was very keen to help us with our every need. We love our new car and wouldnt go anywhere else for our next car.

Josh was excellent with the purchase of my nee Stinger. He helped with getting a customer number from Vic Roads due to my interstate licence and explained the car and services provided by FG Kia very well. Super pleasant to deal with, amd informative without being pushy.

Great experience dealing with Dorian, from ordering to receiving our car, no hard selling, he just let us make-up our mind, kept us updated on the status and always happy to answer our queries, i made so many changes but he was always accommodating, thanks Dorian.

Very very happy with my Kia picanto from FTG Kia! They told us it would take about 6 months for the car to come but potentially 3 months earlier if we got it in white which we did and then we got a call telling us we could pick it up next week! So stoked to have received the car so early! Caitlyn was the salesperson for my car and she was great! I recently bought a Carnival from them and honestly they are amazing to deal with - specifically Caitlyn who assisted us from choosing a vehicle, to smooth paperwork, billing and servicing. She is thoroughly professional and we had a zero hassle experience. She knew in and out about the vehicle and gave us a super nice demo. Caitlyn upon request even helped us to enact and plan a surprise for our kids, as they weren't aware until she gave them the keys. Her friendliness and kindness left my 8-year-old daughter in awe.

By suggesting a few tips, Liam helped me save a couple of hundred dollars - thanks mate.

They don't try to con you with unwanted accessories, which sets them apart from other dealers. If it's Kia it's Ferntree Kia, good work folks!

Kia provided me with absolutely fantastic customer service the whole way through my journey of buying my new car.
