Fancy Hank's Barbecue Restaurant reviews
70The food was okay, some very good dishes -the brisket and Mac and cheese, though others were just okay. Service was very hit and miss, one or two staff members were good, others were impatient, rushed and had to be reminded about several items, knocked things from our table. Gave up asking for water as it never came. Overall, an inconsistent experience.
Food was excellent, tad pricey, but happy to pay the extra if it is good. Staff are very helpful. Waiter with the glasses (forget his name) helped us with making some good choices and was very helpful.
Good Flavours
I love coming here. I’ve always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and I’ve even brought a few mates from the US here to get there take on it which has been very positive. Despite the excellent selection of meats I have to say I really love the corn bread. Even if you need to wait for a table you can just go upstairs to the rooftop bar and have a few beers whilst you wait. Excellent
Was excited for my pulled pork sandwich, but I'm not a fan of massive chunks of fat in there. For people that like fat <thumbsUp> for people that don't like it, like me <thumbsdown>
My first time there. We had meat dishes and they were nicely cooked. Shredded pork and sliced steak. None of the meats were dry they just melted. Oh, and try the corn bread for something different.
Really dissapointing. Only had 1 beer each meal cost over $250 for four of us. Pork ribs hardly cooked. Smoked sausage smoked to death and bitter. Lamb ribs all fat little meat. Brisket was beautiful but a single tiny slice in a shared sample dish costing $56 each.
Consistently good bbq in a great location. Don't skip the weekday lunch special and definitely make time to have a drink at the rooftop bar
The brisket is 10/10 awesome the corn bread omg a must definetly a must and service was 10/10 well done guys
Great location, great retro fitout, grear space but not so great beef brikset sandwich.meat was drop dead tender but brioche didn't do any justice to the meat, it tasted cheap and dry.if american sandwich, why is it served bone dry instead being gooey, drippy, sloppy?
however, couldn't fault service, staff was most helpful and friendly.
