Elgin Inn Hotel

A group of us came to The Elgin for lunch to celebrate a Birthday and the owner had set up such a nice area for us to eat on the rooftop. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food and the owner and staff looked after us so well! Excellent Customer Service, a great place to go to.

Great food- quality & range, & helpful, efficient staff. Complete with a warm, traditional pub feel, the Elgin Inn is well worth a visit or 2/ more!

Had a function here for 140 people. Food was good and fantastic service. Highly recommend for casual social functions.

The good:
Decent pub. Staff are friendly. Service is good. Music is nice too.
The not so good:
Not many vegetarian options. The chickpea burger was not great. Had a ton of spinach. Patty was dry. Chickpeas were not mashed. Besides, it was a bit too sweet (with relish and caramelized onion) for my taste (which is not their fault).
Slightly expensive food.
Having said that, I might go here again. Only to drink though.

With the recent renovation, the upstairs area is beautiful inthe warm summer months. The library and fireplace is cosy in the cooler months. Check their menu for the weekly specials which are fantastic and at amazing prices.

Had the steak and it was really good! $16 on Monday and Wednesday on special, cooked beautifully and sauce was delicious. Generous portions of fries and salad too. Will be back for more.

Yes a great pub free of bloody pokies. Love this joint even has light on tap for a long day. No pokies + Light on tap + Pub food = 5 star.

The rooftop has a fantastic view over the city, while isolated from the city crowd it gives you comfort feeling to just relax and having a beer!

The food was really great! I have special dietary requirements and the chef went to great effort to make a very yummy dish

Great local pub with a cosy atmosphere. The porterhouse was delicious and cooked exactly as requested. The service provided was impressive-the waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. This establishment offers extras, such as a trivia night for example. There is seating outside and also an upstairs level. If you're looking for a tasty meal at a reasonable price, in a comfortable environment, then I would highly recommend it.

The bartender at cashier was rude.avoid.

A pint of beer the month is $9. However he charged me $9 for a pot and kept telling me beer of the month is pots.where I can clearly see it is a pint in the poster right next to me.he was annoyed and speaking loud while I was asking why i am only getting a pot, which makes me feel bad and uncomfortable, eventhough I know he was lying.

Really helpful staff, nice atmos. Parma was a bit cold, but the macaroni cheese croquettes were delicious!

A well placed business with great facilities, and ample space. The upstairs area is a great hangout, with multiple TVs with sport on, it's a fantastic spot to hang out and grab a beer while watching the footy.

Cheap $15 Parma night for a reason!
Any bad cook can open a bag of raw coleslaw and day old mixed leaves and call it a salad.probs won’t return

Nice pub with a few secluded spots for a quiet drink yet there's the louder space for good ol pub atmosphere!

Great pub to come to and watch sports, with a great selection of food and beverages! Would highly recommend:)

Great local pub that supports local sporting clubs. Not many better places to watch the footy and have a flutter on the horses. Would recommend!
