Omg you have to try the pizzas here. IMO one for the best for a pub style resto! The cheese just oozes so well and perfectly made my drooling keep coming!

I had my daughter's birthday dinner at the Elgin Inn tonight. There were 12 of us, and we had a great night. Meals all came together, delivered by cheery staff.

The Elgin is a decent sized pub spread across two floors with a sports bar and multiple dining areas. The pizzas are decent, with a generous amount of toppings, although the base can get a bit soggy. Wednesday night is Parma night and $20 for a range of custom Parmas is pretty good value. I had the Mexican with salsa, sour cream and plenty of jalapeños. They're also generous with the chips and salad.

Went to this great establishment on Sunday, after going to several places in recent weeks and being disappointed this was an amazing place
Lamb blackstrap for me and calamari for the lady fantastic then upstairs to the roof top bar where we enjoyed the crawldaddys

A classic local that isn't worried about modern feels or stature.

If you want a stop over brew or a catch up a simple pub then maybe this is the place to consider. Simple pub food that isn't "top notch", but fills the spot.

Large range of beers with a classic watering hole feel with a eccentric U shape bar.

Available for functions whilst being open late each day. Sports and tab are a mainstay.

Staff went above & beyond to help serve us as we are vision impaired. They were very kind & accommodating of our guide dogs. I will recommend them to everyone I know. Very good service.

We stopped in at this pub after the markets and ended up staying till closing. Really fun vibe and great service from friendly fellow Aussie barman Benji. Comfy sofas, good food, great cocktails.

Thanks for hosting our wonderful family get together last night. 18 of us from all over Australia gathered with our 98yo aunt/great aunt. Venue was perfect, accessible for her walker, food was brilliant.everyone was satisfied! The staff were so accommodating. Anna looked after us and the bar staff stuck around as we all enjoyed the catchup. Thanks guys. Excellent x

Had dinner on 3/8. Absolutely wonderful place! Special mentions to waitress staff Anne and Alexa who were outstanding and very welcoming! Food was spot on!

Staff were quite rude and poorly trained, treated our 4yo daughter as if she was nothing. Not at all suited to be working in hospitalty. Ordinary pub grub but still managed to find ways to stuff it up. Steer clear. Hopefully a new licensee can rejuvenate this place; its location deserves better.

A great spot and an institution.unfortunately I've found the service fairly apathetic the last few times I've been which is pretty disappointing.

Food was delicious, came out quickly. Staff excellent. Vibe calm and relaxing.
Would definitely visit again. Thank you!

Fantastic staff and vibe, great roof top bar with the best Long Island ice teas in Melbourne. Well worth the $

Terrible experience with aggressive bar staff. I have a medical exemption to not wear a mask but was questioned rudely about what my condition is. One older staff member in particular who made me feel uncomfortable and I had to walk out. I highly recommend people don’t attend this venue.

Food was excellent. Service was excellent and the venue itself was in a beautiful location. Views from where we were was gorgeous.
