Anna is amazing. She makes a brilliant coffee. Scratch that, she makes a coffee so good that despite not usually having a second one, I went back for another.

Anna goes above and beyond with customer service. Give this lady a pay rise! Or at least the recognition that she deserves and something to recognise the awesome contribution she is to your business. Anna is your MVP.

Awesome staff and venue. Great upstairs bar and vibe. Downstairs for punters and sports enthusiasts plus a very nice outside/street area. It has a bit of everything and a great place for fun

Always a great venue, what draws me back to it month after. Onth. The publican, n all my mates who frequent this great venue. Love it!

A bit of old world pub charm. It ain't a restaurant but the parma was fine the beer cold & the service polite friendly & prompt.

Lovely atmosphere, great service and food is good too. Recently visited for a family dinner thus, it suits you if you have kids as well. Staff was lovely and shared suggestions: the calamari salad and the polenta chips are recommended!

Lovely place, very well structured, has a warm friendly feel to it, staff were lovely and friendly as well.

Recently ordered a parma from here and would not recommend to much cheese and ham, barley any chips and no salad.wasn't happy!

Booked a table for 7 right out the pandemic on the 1st of June (also my birthday). The service was excellent the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Cheers!

Food bad, beer good.
Had the parma (so did two others at my table) and they looked and tasted very average. If it was $15 parma night there I wouldn't have been as disappointed but it was $25 and didn't even come with salad. Chips were decent though.
Other meals at the table were the steak sandwich and a seafood entre. Both people were very disappointed.
On the other hand the beer was great. 4 pines pale and stone & wood Pacific on tap. Can't argue with that.
Overall, great place to watch the footy and have a beer but eat before you come.

Every time I order something vegan here I get cheese on it or something not listed in the menu. And there's attitude too. Why have vegan options if you get upset when someone orders them?

Nice meal good size meals parking was a problem as it is street parking and some streets were permit parking the atmosphere was good service was good didn't have to wait long for your meal

Great food, good prices and the place is our regular hangout after work for drinks and a good ol fashion pub meal. Friendly staff and we’ve made heaps of friends there. They have become “our gang” LOVE The Elgin

Upstairs at the Elgin is the perfect after work drinks spot. Got a few decent beers on tap, the deck for some sunshine, and wall mounted heaters when it's chilly.

I love this place. All in one, great atmosphere, perfect service, good price, and wide variety of choices. I recommend Elgin Inn Hotel to everyone.

A great pub right near Hawthorn station. If has a bistro and sports bar downstairs and a roof top area with indoor and outdoor areas as well as function space. The food is typical pub fare and they have Sunday to Wednesday specials.

Great pub, 4X Pines on tap plus GF options and on the menu. Probably needs a lick of paint here and there but quite good.

Fast, friendly service. Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere. Their chef Belinda is amazing, best food I've had in ages. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the worse meals and service I have had especially in the Hawthorn area.

I ordered the Rib Eye steak from the main menu and paid that cost. What came out was the special steak with Cheese croquets never had them with steak before and it was as chewy as grandads old leather boot. When my sister went up to the counter to complain stood there for about 5 minutes waiting, ok the lady behind the bar was busy but the manager and another employee stood outside smoking.
