What a beautiful hotel. Everything has been amazing, from the room to the service the wonderful staff offer. We will definitely be back!

Quite often it’s the little things that mean a lot. I was really looking forward to returning to the Doubletree, as this stay was to celebrate my birthday.
We arrived about ¾ of an hour before official check in time and our room was not available, so we went for a walk and left our mobile number. We received no phone call however, so waited until well after three o'clock to return. Luckily, our room was ready.
The hotel itself is fine. It’s an easy walk to public transport, shops and restaurants.
There’s a good choice of room types. The skyline, river view room is of ample size for two people, is simply but comfortably furnished and offers great views of many Melbourne icons.
As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was given a nice room upgrade and continental breakfast, which was okay, but nothing to write home about.

Continental breakfast with "optional" hot food? Come on guys! Covid excuses given was pretty lame, considering you allow sharing of serving utensils. We had 2 rooms booked, both parties were Hilton Honors Gold member, one room came with continental brekkie, the other came with full brekkie. Beside the new meaning of Gold standard inconsistency, where in the world of any hotel charging breakfast with "optional" hot food?
Very silly and divisive policy, Hilton!

The best hotel in the city, straight across the road from Flinders Street station, and young and Jackson's just up the road, the rooms were spacious and very clean, staff are lovely, this is my 3rd stay, and I definitely will be back!

Location Location.

I booked this beautiful hotel unknowing of just how perfect it was going to be. The occasion was for my wife's birthday and a belated anniversary. We stayed in the King River View room (top floor) and it more than lived up to its name. A short stroll to Degrave's cafes and perfectly centred between the cities abundance of restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs. The hotel staff were perfect from booking through to checkout and made the whole stay as carefree as possible.

Although likely a case by case gesture, it can't go unmentioned that the staff at the Doubletree also went the extra mile with a personal message and well wishes on arrival to our room, a bottle of wine and late checkout which was a very welcome addition after a late and fantastic evening.

If you're a bit of a sweet tooth then beware! Complimentary warm cookies on demand 24/7 is a great touch and we indulged more than thrice in our overnight stay!

Clean, stylish with massive bathrooms coupled together with probably the best location for a hotel I've stayed in in Melbourne. Also, the little things like the Crabtree and Evelyn complimentary toiletries and the use of umbrellas from the front desk, you know because it's Melbourne.

Even though I reckon our room upgrade could've been better as we were diamond members, we still thoroughly enjoyed the view towards the Flinder St Station. The a la carte breakfast was good and they were able to cater to my dietary requirements. Dinner downstairs was good too, especially the wild rice cauliflower salad. Overall a good staycation.

The Doubletree has become our go to hotel for staycations, whilst travel further afield is still a bit iffy.
The location is unbeatable. It’s around the corner from many of Melbourne’s unique laneways, close to supermarkets, shops and restaurants and an easy stroll to Southbank, the NGV, ACMI and Fed Square. For travel further afield, Flinders St Station is across the road and there’s a free tram right outside.
The skyline river view room is of ample size, simply but comfortably furnished and offers terrific views of, as the name suggests, the Southbank skyline and the Yarra River, plus many other Melbourne icons.
Staff are friendly and professional. Pre stay emails were answered promptly and all requests granted.
As a HH diamond member I was given a generous room upgrade, free ala carte breakfast for two and a late check out.
On top of all this, the hotel is great value for money.
Having recently stayed at their sister hotel in Little Queen Street, I can honestly say that, in my opinion, the Doubletree wins hands down.

Location is perfect, everything you would want to see or explore is within walking distance. The staff were all incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. The lobby is beautiful and always smells incredible (from the delicious cookies). The room was great, very clean and the style/finish is beautiufl. A perfect place to stay for a weekend visit to Melbourne.

Exceptional hotel at a great price. The room was well designed, modern, had a nice modern TV and bluetooth speaker, pod coffee machine, lovely bathroom. I couldn't have wanted more. The bed and linen was super comfortable. Staff were polite and efficient. Loved my stay here.

Right from the beginning not only was the reception area warm, welcoming and friendly so were the staff. Hayden in particular sent my husband a few messages in the two days we were there checking how our stay was. Room, though on the smaller side was modernly appointed with a nice bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and cosy. Room dark. Only negative was thin walls and no foxtel. Location was perfect just around the corner from Degraves Lane
andthe tram right outside.

I could not fault service, room, breakfast buffet. Everything was perfect which I know is a big call. Manager Hayden was professional and very friendly. The ladies on the reception each day were very helpful. I needed tape to tape up sole of my shoe and the receptionist went looking for tape and found some. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I would give it a negative 10 if I can, absolutely the WORST hotel experience EVER! Firstly, I want to clarify that I have been a long time and loyal Hilton customer, and is a Gold Member of the Hilton Honors, whenever travelling interstate or abroad, Hilton would be one of the top preferred hotel. However, this recent experience just takes away everything! I made a booking on 16 March 2021 via Hilton's own website for check-in on 17 March 2021, shortly after, I noticed three (yes NOT one but three) third party agencies are offering better price for the same room and under exactly the same terms and conditons, so I submitted an online claim for their Price Match Guarantee, at the time of the submission it is less than an hour from my initial booking and less than an hour from the so-called 24 hours prior the check-in time.

I was contacted by Angel of their Corporate Guest Relation team in the night via email, in which (despite very difficult to comprehend) it stated that since it is less than 24 hours from my check-in time, they cannot process the request in their end, instead I need to use "Option 2" to contact the local reservation team, although Option 1 clearly did NOT state it is not suitable for my situation and stated that for bookings and 24 hours after the booking I can submit the claim online. Nevertheless, I called the Australian Reservation number immediately - still on 16 March 2021 (although even the number is difficult to find in their own website), and spoke to a representative named Natasha, she informed me that she couldn't do anything regarding the price matching, instead these needs to be referred to the price matching team, who is off work then and their working hours are between 8AM and 3PM. I requested for her to leave a note for them to call me back, she said that she couldn't as they don't have emails or message systems.

On the morning of 17 March 2021, I called to try and resolve the price matching issue, after waiting for about 20 minutes I spoke with a representative from the reservation team named Nora, I asked to be transferred to the pricing matching team, after another long wait, there is simply no picking up and when I try to ask Nora for any alternatives or trying again, she acted like she couldn't hear me and HANG ME UP! Then I called again to the reservation centre and spoke with Radzi (not from the pricing matching team but colleagues of Nora and Natasha), he firstly said that he may be able to price matching it for me, but after some attempt he said he is unable to do it because it is already 17 March 2021, rather if I called yesterday it could be done. I was furious because I did call on 16 March 2021 but was BLATANTLY LIED to by Natasha. Further, he said maybe the Pricing Matching team can assist and tried again to transfer me, but again no one picking it up, it is also worthwhile to note that it almost sounded by Radzi that he knows no one is going to pick up. He made a second attemt to transfer the call and yet no one picks up, the total waiting time on those two attempts to transfer amount to well over 30 minutes. He then said that he try to contact their assistant and was to no avail either. He then offered (and I accepted) for him to leave a message for the Pricing Matching team to contact me directly. Note here, either he is lying or Natasha is lying because Natasha advised me clearly that there is no possible way for her team to contact the Pricing Matching team or leave a message. I left both my numbers for Radzi and also requested him to escalate the matter to his management for someone to call me back regarding this unreasonable yet totally unacceptable experience I am encountering. He agreed.

As a side note, during the time I have also replied to the Corporate Guest Relations team via email outlining the issues I am encountering in contacting the local reservation team, the reply is generally sorry but nothing they can do. It is now 4: 25PM, still NO REPLY from Hilton!

Awesome low key version of the Hilton. Very urban. Great price. Fantastic for business trips or a weekend away whilst in the heart of everything.

Pretty average. Most guest rooms are quite small. Dessert is the best - it was supposed to be a chocolate moose but came as something much nicer. Dinner service in restaurant was really poor. Welcome at check-in good. I remember the breakfast to be quite good as it has a self juicing bar.

The location is ideal, as it is right in front of a famous landmark of Melbourne. Flinder street train station. Hotel rooms are good, but services needs improvement. No one cleaned my room even I stayed thier two nights. Despite of many reminders. Just get promises that someone will come to sort this.

Clean, spacious rooms- excellent view of Flinders St Station and the city skyline! Great proximity to the CBD and public transporation. Excellent breakfast selection!
