DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Melbourne - Flinders Street reviews
80I stayed there with my daughter for 1 night. The location is central to everything & the staff are friendly & efficient. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
The rooms are fun and quirky. We had a loft room and it was a great use of space. The bed was very comfy and lots of powerpoints near the beds.
The service.there may be some training issues with the check in staff. Also, we ordered some gin and tonics at the bar. We were then asked 3 times whilst drinking these to settle the bill which we had said we were charging to the room.
The lifts are also abit annoying. Only one lift goes to level 14.yet everyone can use it. Fail.
It's a great location and we would definately stay again, just a bit frustrating about the service.
Love the hotel - perfect location, great service and yummy cookies! It is really a great value for what you paid for. We will be back
Another great stay, just overnight this time, seamless Diamond upgrade scored me a Skyline/River view room. Service with a smile (evn though we were all masked up!) A couple of small requests dealt with immediatley. Keep it up all staff!
A bed a shower and a loo. It's the little things that drag a great experience down to an it's ok experience, like no cold water in the room fridge, the sugar police leave 2 sachets total for cups present, this place is ok for a night but not for a week.
This hotel has a great location right by Flinders street station. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped and staff are helpful.
I think you can probably find a cheaper non-branded hotel, but the Doubletree is still a good choice.
We checked out today.what a wonderful experience. We have stayed at many Hiltons around the world and this is as good as it gets. The staff are amazing and helpful, food is great even the late night room service.thanks again guys for a wonderful stay. I use a wheelchair. The accessible room should cover most people's needs. Roll in shower, good water pressure. Good temperature, good towels etc
Always my first choice when staying in Melbourne, the rooms are clean, modern and we'll appointed with things like quality in room coffee. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Thank you.
The team at Doubletree by Hilton Melbourne are simply amazing which keeps bringing me back. The welcome is warm and engaging - and always with a smile and a delicious cookie. The team, led by Anke are always looking to ensure you have a brilliant stay. And importantly it's a Covid safe hotel where cleanliness is paramount.
The rooms have comfortable beds. Great shower pressure. Good gym where you can watch the passing parade on Flinders St. Breakfast is a la carte. Great coffee, great food and nice vibe.
And the location is fantastic - everything within a short walk / tram / train ride away.
Special shoutouts from my last trip - Anke, Anu, Irwan and Britney - thanks for your wonderful service and smiles.
Enjoyed our stay, got a package for a weekend included breakfasts, and parking, and red wine on arrival. Best surprise was warm cookies on arrival went down well with a lovely cup of tea.
Extremely horrible place to spend time with family on a NY, room checkin delayed by almost 2 hours, On top of that hot water does not work and had to bathe with cold water. No idea when the hot water will be repaired…wonder why I am paying top $ to stay at this place.
Rooms are too small and not worth the price, felt like living in a backpacker rooms…. Simply pathetic.
Don't stay here if you want a room with a study/business desk. I stayed in a room on the 13th floor that was no larger than a shoe box.
I asked the person at reception if I could have a room with a desk. He didn't even make an attempt to accommodate. He offered up a sorry we're booked out! Mind you I paid over $300 a night and stayed 3 nights.
Definitely don't stay here if you want a hotel that has some semblance of ambience in their restaurant or bar. The reception desk/check-in melds into the bar (really awkward and inappropriate positioning).
The Hilton brand is supposed to offer prestige and exclusivity! Not the case with this light weight pretender.
I was contacted by the Hotel manager who offered a lame invitation to contact them if and when I decide to go back. My response to that is I don't think your hotel deserves my repeat business. Look elsewhere to avoid disappointment.
Absolutely amazing place great beds and brekky staff so friendly and do anything to help stay amazing
Such a stand out hotel! Lobby and restaurant is stunning and the location is perfect for tourists to Melbourne. When you arrive you'll be greeted with a delicious warm biscuit and a smile from the staff. The rooms are clean and standard but the bathrooms are trendy and elegant. Would highly recommend!
Room not huge but big enough. Very clean and modern. Staff very helpful and approachable. A very pleasant stay.
Excellent location, very nice rooms, and great service, right from reception at check-in to the buffet breakfast, and right up until check-out.
A special thank you to Jaime at the front desk, who made our stay extra special with her kind and helpful demeanour and bubbly personality.
The buffet breakfast is notable in how good the pastries are, and has a good selection of fresh fruit. Kudos to the chef. The restaurant also has a beautiful warehouse conversion vibe.
Anke, kieran, josh, faith and anu has to be commended for their customer service skills and dedication to their amazing service. They made my stay very memorable for sure. Will definitely come back and will not hesitate in recommending this location.
The DoubleTree is on Flinders Street and a great location for the river precinct. The rooms are all modern and it's good to see things like power outlets with USB plugs. The staff were all very friendly and even accommodated a room change without fuss. Just be aware that you won't get a view over Flinders Street Station unless you're on one of the upper 3 or 4 floors so check what you book.
It can get a little noisy on a Friday and Saturday nights with hoons on the street but the rooms are reasonably sound proofed.
Absolutely brilliant not only hotel but quintessential Melbourne experience in the heart of it all. Above all the sense of welcome and friendly staff a highlight. My family and I loved our stay so much and will definitely be back
Comfortable, clean, welcoming & close to all things in Melbourne's CBD.ideal for 1 night stay over before jumping on a flight
