I had a great experience across all the teams at Doorsplus (sales, head office and installation). I received fantastic customer service from Sunny the manager at Doorsplus Mitcham, he was extremely understanding and helpful. He really went above and beyond to help me out as I needed an external bifold door replaced urgently. Thank you for all your help Sunny! Very happy customer!

We are not usually one's to write bad reviews about companies, but we felt in this case it was absolutely necessary! Our experience with Doors Plus Mitcham has been the worst customer service we have ever encountered. A snapshot of our experiences included giving us incorrect time frames, ordering the wrong door for us and not showing up for installation. Further to this, when they had realized their mistake of ordering the wrong door, we were told we had to pay a further $600 extra for them to cut a door to size for us. Seems like the $$$ were more important than remedying their mistakes. In the end, we just took our money and ran far away. We now have a door from Bunnings and we would highly recommend anyone to give them a go first.

Good service, good products. Would be 5 stars if Doors plus would provide a better website, i.e more than a virtual flyer. Better delivery options would be also welcome.

Sales process was fine, and delivered product was reasonable quality. Two comments:

1.the doors I bought required drilling of 3 holes in each set of french doors to complete installation. It would be much better if these holes were drilled in the factory. Like how hard would that be for you?
2.prior to delivery, I returned to the store to ask for detailed measurements for installation. The people in the shop on that day treated me with distain and were of no help whatsoever. I looked on the website and likewise found no useful information. However, it was all contained with the finished product.result was an extra day delay in installation as I had to pack out an existing hole by 30 mm. I have two further rooms to put doors into at my property. I will try very very hard to source from someone other than doors plus due to the rudeness of staff on the day in question

I recently bought new front and back doors for my home from Doors Plus Mitcham. I was so pleased with PK’s knowledge and the advice he gave me in selecting the right doors. Grant installed the doors and they are of the highest quality. He was meticulous in the way he created the frames and fitted the doors. I am so pleased with the final product. I am very pleased I invested in quality doors from Doors Plus.

The 5 starts rating gives to Sunny, the store manager! He really solved all my hard problems! I really appreciate his professionalism and patience in helping me to find the right doors for my non- standardised doors. He understood that I needed the doors urgently and gave me a very good solution with very reasonable price with good quality doors! His service is just like his name- SUNNY! Really enjoyed his service and this purchase experience!

I ordered a front door with a security door. I ordered a laundry door with a security door. I ordered an aluminium sliding door with a security door. I ordered them all on 7th March 2023.
The front door and the laundry door were installed on 9th August, with no security doors. I need to wait for another 10-12 weeks for those to be installed.
My aluminium sliding door was installed on 22nd August. The frame was split, the frame was not painted…apparently they do not paint the frames (but they do undercoat!). I need to find more money to have the frames painted.
Doors Plus do not take rubbish - old doors- away. More extra cost for me to get rid of bulky, heavy stuff.
Doors Plus - No Fuss.
For me -
Doors Plus - too much fuss and extra hidden costs.

My partner bought a door from here and the tradie for the install cancelled multiple times, making up illnesses, made excuses for going up stairs. Months later no door install. Customer support from doors plus would give 1 day notice saying the delivery people are ill, only to get a call from them the next day to say they are working.
A scam, do not buy

Just don't go there, get a quote on Monday, after the Measurement rise prize$100 ,just say the prize is only for the display, on the brochure 2 different sizes has same price. And so call dilvey and install all extra cost on top the package. Scam company just don't go there

A lot of fuss for claiming no fuss. First the salesperson writes our phone number and email address wrong, not once but twice. Then the invoice shows a few things we have to pay for but no one told us what they are. After coming home we had to email about them to change them because they were a random colour that no one communicated with us. After fixing that we had to pay more as a deposit. Then today we got an invoice for more money but they hadn’t done anything else. They hadn’t contacted us about when it would be installed but had to pay a progress payment for nothing. There was no progress. We still didn’t know when the doors would be installed. The invoice also didn’t show the extra we had already paid because of them fixing their mistakes. Then calling up to fix it, we get transferred four times and they were pretty rude. If small mistakes like this happen, how bad will the instalment be? We cancelled the order.

READ THE REVIEWS! I wish I had before stepping one foot into the Mitcham Doors Plus. If you absolutely have no option but to use Doors Plus, pick any other outlet, DO NOT under any circumstances use the Mitcham "showroom".

I put an order in for 2 basic internal white doors and 1 basic white front door, basic hardware and a barn door. The doors needed to be custom fit which I was happy to pay for, was told there would be about a 5 to 6 week wait which I found strange for basic doors but accepted the situation.

After about 5 weeks from paying the deposit, I had not heard anything so I decided to follow up. Our salesperson appologised as he "thought" he had sent us updated quotes as something to do with their systems meant our quote had to be split up. I was basically lied to saying that they had our email incorrect when on the original quote the email was in fact written down correctly.

After about another week, we were still waiting on a new quote. This had now taken six weeks, the job should have been done by now. We finally got the quote and were told it would be about 5 to 6 weeks AGAIN because of stock issues. I decided to ring some other stores to see if they has stock. The Cheltenham store was particularly helpful saying they had them in stock and could get it fitted in a week! I rang Mitcham to ask why they couldn't just get stock from another store and was told Doors Plus doesn't work that way which I found rediculous. Mitcham would not lift a finger to help out. They just brashly said "do you want your money back" like this happens to them daily. I said yes.

Follow on a week later and we still had not got our deposit back from Mitcham and we get a phone call from head office asking when we would like our doors fitted? I said you have to be kidding, I asked for a refund and now they are calling for when we wanted to fit doors we had cancelled over a week ago.

Up until this point, I had given our salesman every opportunity to right every single screw up made and had been polite. I basically told him that he left me no option but to write this review so no one else has to go through this amount of incompetence.

As I said at the start of this review.do your research. Read the reviews. I wish I did.

I spent over $6000 dollar on 9 x interior doors at the Doors Plus Mitcham branch and 4 of them were defective. 2 of them had undercoat or a blue paint appearing through the topcoat, 1 had a very visible paint bubble and 1 had major scratches.

As of June 2022, I am currently taking Doors Plus Mitcham to VCAT, over supplying defective doors and not honouring a warranty and fixing the doors.

VCAT was postponed until 11/11/22, and as of today VCAT ruled in my favour to reimburse me for the defective doors to the value of about $2,300.

Doors plus representatives did not even show up to the VCAT hearing.

They make me wait 2 years to go through this whole VCAT hearing, including a 6 month delay in the hearing, making it a total of 2 years and they don't even show up.

Clearly this company does not care about customer service or their company image.

Appalling, is how I can describe it. Finalized order early September 2022 and still waiting on our doors. It would have been ok if they indicated it will take this long but instead on our final order confirmation it clearly states 5-6 weeks and the agent who assisted us confirmed it shouldn't take longer than that. We are living with no bedroom doors approaching three months. The worst of it is no one has bothered calling to address the issue. I have been following up myself and each time I am told that someone will call me back, I'm still waiting for the call back. I received a message today saying when the doors arrive in December we will contact you, no date provided. No one in the team has the decency to take ownership of the situation never experienced anything like this before. If you are thinking of going to Doors Plus I'd sign up a separate contract with them to cover yourselves.

Nightmare to deal with. It is literally like pulling teeth getting the team here to do their jobs. They cannot even follow up with a quote after doing the measure. Do they even want to make money?

Enquired about a quote for wardrobe doors for 3 bedrooms, a front door and a sliding back door. Manager said that they are unable to do free measure and quotes in trading hours so said they would come and do a measure and quote between 6-6: 30pm. Didn’t show, so I called and they said that they forgot and they rescheduled to the following week. Didn’t show again and I called to see why nobody showed and heard the manager whispering in the back “just say I’m not available”.
If you don’t want any business then this is a great way to go about it, but if you’re too busy then just say? Don’t waste everyone’s times. Such an embarrassment to your business.

DOORS PLUS - NOTHING BUT FUSS!
I have nothing good to say about my experience with Doors Plus Mitcham from the moment I walked in the door until I demanded a refund!
There is so much to cover about what went wrong I just can't type it all.from increasing the price of the order after signing and then not being able to supply a stained external door because it faces north, etc.the issues went on and on.
I would not recommend Doors Plus nor would I ever use them again!

If this was the last door installation company in the world I'd rather live without doors

Terrible customer service, lost measurements, no one returns phone calls, told deposit had been refunded when it had not been. No one in this company seems to know what is happening and is not able to contact each other. A complete waste of time. Avoid at all costs.

The quality of advice and options was most helpful. We went, we saw. They came and measured. Then the door arrived and was installed with no fuss at all. We were relieved and are grateful. Thank you.
