Derby Thai St Kilda

Cheapest and the tastiest thai in stkilda by far. Friendly staff and food is always consistent. Recently tried a few other thai place in the area but I will just stick to here

Had the beef and black bean. Not nice under cooked carrots were hard as a rock.
Could not finish

The audacity to change extra for a vegan meal that is just a regular menu item without the meat. Atrocious. Wrong and immoral.
Vegans of Melbourne, vote with your feet/ wallets.

Different owners? Terribly gone down hill. Chicken was grey, whole meal was cold and one dish didn't even arrive

We had lunch twice at this restaurant. Both times we tried the same items, pad thai noodles and fried chicken rice as we liked it very much. Although my noodles were a bit sweeter than I would have liked the second time! Great quantity for the price, good amount of veggies added. My partner loved the consistency and taste of eggs added in fried rice. Ambience was nice, you can dine in or take out. A definite good try:)

Just ordered 2 dishes from there and both delicious. Fresh white chicken and prawns were beautiful. Really clean, beautiful flavour. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend and good prices.

Store closed early without notice or informing us that they were unable to fulfill our order, a hour an half of waiting for our food to them call and have them laugh and say "we close early for cleaning". Extremely poor customer service, very unprofessional.

As a previously very loyal customer I feel very very disappointed and appalled by the newly installed "vegan tax" on the newly vegan menu. After approaching the restaurant in order to obtain an explanation for this, I was left with a brief and unreasonable communication and ignored after the initial contact. They have just lost their loyal customer.

We love this place, great food, nice staff, great prices. Gluten free options! Massaman curry was a bit fatty, that's my only criticism. Loved it!

Ususally order from them but decided to go and dine in for the first time.
The food is tasty, but we got the wrong dish which the staff ignored. The tall Thai lady at the front counter is very arrogant, rude and pushy.
The other staff just dump the food on your table and walk off without a smile or even a thank you. They have signs saying they are short staffed and for customers to be understanding and kind, maybe they should practice what they preach. I understand that the hospitality industry is doing it tough due to COVID, but if other restaurants that are facing the same issues can be polite and welcoming, I don't see why Derby Thai can't achieve this too.

The food is amazing the favours fresh and spot on the Prawn and peppercorn dish was so positively unexpected WOW took a seperate photo (my photos don’t do any of the dishes justice). The pork belly salad so fresh yet decadent. The prices are reasonable, this quality elsewhere would cost 40% more. The roti and peanut sauce was a better serve and great taste yet 1/2 the price of others nearby!
The place was busy with dine in and deliveries and COVID requirements being practised.

Pad See Ew turned out to be a Pad See EORW! Basically cold and missing the beef component all together as well as clumps of salt in amongst the spinach. This place is very close, if the food had of been all cooked fresh it would still be hot even though the delivery was done amongst other orders. Can't work out how this place has other good reviews, avoid avoid avoid.

This Derby Thai is much bigger than the original outlet in Caulfield. It is more like a Bistro. The food is pretty good especially the Larb Gai. I would come back more often, great dining experience! Your food is served in big plates and sit in a nice restaurant!

Order from here at least once a week.
