Decathlon Moorabbin reviews
72Went in to this store in hope of trying to find a new pair of runners. Was bounced around between staff who did not seem to care or know the products they were wanting to sell. When trying to get the attention of a staff member (aga) I was ignored. Better sticking to the big brands, soured what I was hoping to be a good experience
Great place for everything sport and outdoors. Cloths, footware, camping, everything! Plenty of free parking, great staff to help you find a bargain. Quality is great.
Wow. What a store. I couldn’t believe the variety of their products. Bicycles, tennis, ballet, skating, gym equipment and it just keeps going. Their prices seemed great and their sale prices were unbelievable. We spent an hour here and that was just browsing.
Came here to buy a bike. They don't allow you to test the bikes outside to see if it is right for you like literally every other bike store, so you have to pay full price just to test out the bikes. How ridiculous.
Quality, affordable sports gear. Not much "branded" stock, that's why it's affordable you're not paying for an overpriced tag.
Store is only 2 months old so still has the 'brand new' feel to it. I am familiar with Decathlon stores in Spain; Madrid and Santiago de Compostelas, so it is great to see a similar layout in Australia. Staff were excellent. Definitely cheaper than Kathmandu and Anaconda though the brands may not be familiar. I used Quechua pack and poles, and some clothing items on my last Camino. All good quality and hard wearing. Love to see Decathlon outside Europe.
Went there and there are plenty of staff but they are all busy talking to each other. Another store with no service at all. So disappointing. I will not be returning.
I bought a bike few days back. Firstly, they did not allow me to test the bike before the purchase. Few days after purchase, I discovered that I cannot use the bike because it hurts me between the legs and it causes a shoulder pain. I went to return the bike as they claim 365 days return policy. I met a employee named ‘Sam’. I explained her my situation, instead of helping out she embraced me by repeating that they will not process return and refund as they think its change of mind. I pleaded her the issue the bike caused me, she again excused by blaming that because the bike is used they cannot take it.
Their Company policy clearly states that ‘If the product in use is not satisfactory for the intended sport practice’ customer is entitled to get the refund.
But Staff at Moorabbin Decathlon thinks they are beyond ACCC.
Worst customer service experience. They embrace the customer and make them feel bad by blaming them.
Advised to hire more mature staff who understands business and follow Government established rulebook.
LOVELY STAFF+
The store is huge and got a wide range of sports products, basically you can get anything you want. Highly recommend.
Big store full of all different kinds of sports, plenty of staff to help with product knowledge and then easy self check outs
Useless. Placed and order for a bike and paid for it only to come and be told there is no stock available.
I went into the store to buy a bike. 5 minutes in the store guy tells me to hop off a bike so I did. I simply said a friendly “oh, the other store (Box Hill) lets customers try the bikes. ” The guy then gives me an abrupt “then why don’t you go *there* then! ” and then turned his back to me.
That’s my first experience at this store. I’m absolutely gobsmacked. Is this how your staff are trained? I hope they’re not all like this. Very poor experience.
